We had to stay at the KAPOK unexpectedly . the rate I was given over the phone was a different rate I was charged on the day. Needless to say I queried it but was guided to correction. Two days later they advised me they were wrong and refunded me. I was advised of the breakfast times as I had...

When in Trinidad, I choose to stay at the Kapok since it is close to where I do my work. I found my room to be comfortable, spacious and clean. Simple, but with a good desk where I could work with good lighting. Bed was comfortable. The bath, like the rest of the room shows signs of renovation, but everything...

Stayed for one night, took advantage of the local discounted accommodation package – Standard King Room for two with breakfast. Staff at the front desk was welcoming on check in and it was a smooth process although my companion and I visited spontaneously without a reservation! The Standard King room on Kapok’s 6th floor has charming décor; butter coloured walls,...

Stayed there for one night. Had a business meeting to attend to the next day. The room was too cramped. The bathroom had mold and was not cleaned properly. The room had windows but they were not transparent. The staff was very nice though.

The hotel is working to upgrade their rooms. We were in a double bed room with a view of the main road. Balcony rooms are only available with a king size bed. The front desk staff needs a course in customer service. I tried calling the hotel for 3 days before I arrived and nobody answered the phone. I finally...

My husband and I visited the Tikki Village restaurant at the Kapok hotel to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. The food was exceptional as always, the appetizers are always our main focus and usual we were not disappointed. The staff was courteous, friendly and very attentive, we were so moved. On our departure we were asked to be seated for...

Came here on business and stayed a few night but I have nothing to complain about. The building isn't old from observation and the room was nice. The staff was pleasant especially the bar and restaurant downstairs and the guy who greets you at the door. The service make my experience a good one and I rate this hotel 4/5....

This holder has been refurbished with a relatively new bar/restaurant down stairs. the problem lies with the check in staff and their lack of service, more training is needed on service levels. food in the restaurant is good and the breakfast was good, AC is a nightmare with noise levels extremely high and rooms could do with a lot of...

I booked this hotel from London to stay for a week. Got to the hotel about 8:30 and full payment was demanded on arrival. Not a great start as I was exhausted, it is a long flight. I was born in Trinidad and when asked for an address the person on reception was obviously not impressed with the local address...

This hotel may be nice for locals, but they cheat foreigners. Maybe it's because Trinidad doesn't rely on tourism as a big part of the economy, but you get cheated if you are a visitor and not a local. My family ate dinner here as part of a family trip. We stayed at the Hilton and were cheated on taxi...
