I had read reviews of this hotel and knew that it is going through a renovation phase. The first room they put us in had a rusty leaking fridge with paint peeling off the walls and cabinets. We asked for a new room since the fridge was not working for sure and we had food to keep cold. The 2nd...

It has been quite some time since we visited Hotel on the Cay so our review of the hotel itself may be outdated. The location is absolutely beautiful and was ideal for us. We love to snorkel and it was great! We went every day and had a great time. They ferry into Christiansted is quick and runs every few...

That is our fourth year straight at the Hotel on the Cay Private and we are coming back next year. That's how much we enjoy it!, Great location. Private beach, the only one in Christianstead. The convenient ferry runs to the main island every 2 minutes and takes 2 minutes. Large private balcony, stunning views. A bit dated interior, but...

This was our 3rd visit this year to St Croix and each time we have stayed at Hotel on the Cay. Is it the Ritz? No. If you are expecting that, stay somewhere else. This is an older hotel, but it is a wonderful place to stay and relax. You have to take a very short ferry ride to the...

For me every hotel is judged by their attention to detail I'm writing this review to note the exceptional attention to detail that the manager John seems to have I met John across from the hotel while looking at the historic fort he invited me to a tour of the location and showed me the upgrades that were lovely but...

My husband and just returned from our vacation at St Croix. The Hotel on the Cay resides on it's own little island in a lovely, tropical setting. It IS an older hotel, so the room we got wasn't perfect. There were a few cracks in the ceiling plaster and the plastic furniture on the balcony was a little bit rickety....

Had the best family vacation with children 10 and 12...AND their parents! They learned to snorkel and we couldn't get them out of the water....they Loved IT! When I asked them what their FAVORITE thing they did was...the Crab Races. There are several places to participate in the "races" including the Harbormaster Restaurant on the hotel beach on Thursdays. That...

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel on the Cay last week. Our room had the best view over looking Christiansted. The room was no frills but nice, clean and seemed to be remodeled fairly recently. We had a fridge and toaster. Another reviewer mentioned an ant problem and we had some tiny ants but nothing out of control. I...

Loved everything about this little gem, from the fact that you have to take a boat ride to the private island it sits on to the beautiful views of Christiansted from the room windows and grounds to the lovely little private beach to relax on. While we never swam in it the pool area was nice and clean and well...

The hotel is only accessible via boat, which is unique and kind of fun to take their little ferry back and forth. When we arrived at the hotel, my first impression was it was a small average, quaint hotel. However, we did arrive when it was dark. In the morning, I noticed the water displays, including the pool, were in...
