We just returned from a two day/night stay at Tamarind Reef Resort. We had a second floor room with a king bed (room 31). The room was clean and spacious with a large balcony. All rooms are on the water side. The room had a great AC, refrigerator and a full size coffee pot. Absolutely no complaints about the room....

The view was just beautiful; the ocean, fresh flowers, live iguana and hermit crabs running around everywhere. The room was very nice, with the private patio being a great place to wind the evening down listening to the ocean waves~ We will be planning a return visit with the family and we will definitely be staying here again.

We just returned yesterday from a seven night stay in beautiful St Croix at the Tamarind Reef. We had a room on the second floor with a balcony overlooking a gorgeous view steps from the sea. The room was large and clean. The staff was fantastic, especially Beth from the Deep End restaurant which is fabulous. Their other restaurant The...

I'm a ham radio operator and the rooms are feet from the sea. Perfect place to setup an antenna and operate from our beach level room. The beach is rocky but great for snorkeling. The room is clean and the AC is cold and adjustable. Nice hot water. Patio view is incredible see my pics, all from the hotel. Deep...

Tamarind is a less expensive place to stay but the rooms are clean and cool and the casual restaurant is fine for drinks and food. Close to Gallows bay. If you need a place to lay your head, and or don't need a fancy resort (they do have a beach, tennis courts and a marina is next door along with...

We had room #8. The refrigerator made a loud humming noise. It is a bar size fridge and the freezer was not working. The water went on and off every day ; sometimes for hours. There was always mosquitos in the room. The patio wasn't swept clean. You can't swim in the water because of the rocks. After complaining to the...

We were surprised at the size of the rooms and the wonderful balcony with an ocean view. We visited in late April 2016 and did not use the AC at night, instead just kept the slider door open and listened to the waves at night. The restaurant was great and a wonderful pool to eat by and walk to the...

We truly enjoyed our stay at Tamarind Reef. We were visiting for the IRONMAN with our three kids and had adjoining rooms on the first floor. Although I feel that the online marketing of the resort is a bit misleading (it's more like an upscale motel), the rooms were clean, spacious, and perfect for our visit. The beds were quite...

Let me start off with the good. The Tamarind Reef is a great location, has a nice beach, good pool, friendly staff, a fun and friendly bar/restaurant with good and reasonably priced food, and was overall clean and comfortable. But, be prepared -- lots about our room was in need of repairs. The drawers for the kitchenette (which is a...

We stayed for four nights while in St. Croix for the VI Literary Festival. This is a very peaceful, clean and friendly small hotel right on a reef beach. The restaurant The Deep End is right next to it, with a lively bar and restaurant, specials most nights, great breakfast , lunch and dinner. The rooms are large and airy,...
