Our 5th time at Chenay over a few years and it will be our last. Restaurant almost non-existent, no dinner served weeknights and $15 for Perdue frozen wings with sauce thrown on them. The old restaurant burned down months ago but new owners can't seem to get it together. Every beach chair had large cracks which affected sitting in many...

Traveled to St. Croix to attend a destination wedding. Chenay Bay did a good job with the wedding and reception. We stayed before and after the event. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our cottage was cute, basic, and met our needs. A/C worked great, cottage was clean and serviced daily, plenty of channels on the flat screen TV,...

This was a place we booked since our stay had to be extended 2 days due to snow causing our trip home to be postponed. I came across this one and ultimately chose it solely because of the price since we didn't anticipate the addition of 2 more days to our budget. It wasn't awful but it definitely was not...

This is an older resort but quaint & quiet. Has stand alone cottages or duplex cottages. We stayed in a duplex for 9 nights. Fairly clean, housekeeping was there every day. Not luxurious, but good value. Great location, away from downtown crowded areas. The beach there was very nice and calm water. Great snorkeling, go toward the rocks and large...

There is so much potential here but it misses the mark in so many ways. Cottages are adorable but some are renovated and some are dumps. Ours was the latter. Hard uncomfortable beds that were oddly tilted. I felt like I was sleeping with my head in a hole. Got more pillows the next day trying to "even" myself out...

So, let me start by saying that we had a nice time spending a week at Chenay Bay. BUT, there are and were some issues you should know before you book here. First, this is not a luxury resort. It's nice and on the beach but it's really part hotel and part time share properties. The time shares are the...

It's hard to mess up this place-- we have gone for 30 years-- it's a sublime environment on the beach-- but since Shoreline restaurant left due to a massive fire, whoever is running the bar and kitchen just can't get it right. We are huge island supporters but owners have to know that the bar does not know how to...

Beach was fantastic. Snorkeling in the bay and watching the local sea turtles eating sea weed was a fun adventure for all. Rented the paddle boards. Enjoyed the convenience of the bar. Loved the relaxing atmosphere of just sitting and reading a book and listening to the waves. Took long walks on the beach as well as the adjacent roads....

Rooms are cottages on the beach. Nothing fancy but nice. Kitchenettes in all rooms. There is a group of ferel cats that have been neutered on property that are very friendly. In fact Lucy spent a few nights at the foot of my bed. I consider this a plus for this hotel. Staff are excellent, prices very reasonable. I have...

Getting your own cabin with a nice view over the bay where you from your porch can enjoy your breakfast or dinner. Just 50-100 yards to the pool or salty waves. Nice service minded staff cleaning, making your laundry, renting boats/surf, mixing drinks or making breakfast. You easily get in contact with other guests. Perfect for jogging too.
