The unit we stayed in was really great for us. It had a full kitchen, island seating and a dining area. The balcony looked out over the sandy beach with a pool and restaurant to our right. Close to groceries and other restaurants and convenient to downtown. Definitely recommend.

This is our third stay here and we would think long and hard before returning. We specifically asked for a third floor unit furthest away from the waste treatment plant.while we got the third floor, we were the closest one can get to the plant. Our friends, who had made the same request, were also closest to the plant and in a first floor or unit. The first floor units are dark like dungeons and the bedrooms are below ground and face the parking lot. We also were not told that one had to pay for the phones to be turned on and local calls are not free. The kitchens were inadequately supplied if one wanted to eat in. Many items were tired looking and should do be replaced.

My wife worked a contract in St Croix for couple weeks, and being the dutiful husband, I came along as I can work remote. Yes, I give and give and give. As mentioned these are privately owned and rented by the management company, but I've seen several and all were what I expect. Lots of white cabinets and pastel art work. If you don't like that look and feel, then don't come to the carribbean.

The Good Things:
- The grounds : They keep he place very clean and updated. They are always working on something.
- The Beach is as close as you get to having your own. On the weekend I saw maybe 8 people on it. I've only ever shared it with 1 or 2 other people.
- The Pool : This is the best for me and my wife as Kidney shape pools are for kids and lounging next to. The pool here is Olympic length and Salt Water with space for two people to swim laps. Perfect! Its next to the Restaurant and has a Hot Tub section (no jets), which is good for a quick soak after a long swim.
- Breezes : The restaurant serves up good food at good prices. This is not the best in town, but when you work from the room and have only one car, which your wife takes, its great to have a solid place with good service and good drinks on the premesis.
- The Local Ex-Pats : The folks that live here half the year are great. Super nice, willing to help you plan your day and pass along contacts. First day we got a tour of one of the nicer places.
- The Location : I like that its just west of Christiansted, which has tons of great restaurants (The Courtyard, Savant, and the truly amazing lobster Wagu beef burger at 1844) and Cane Bay which has excellent snorkling and cool places to go to like Off the Wall, Above the Cliffs, Rowdys, etc. I've also found many local places nearby with cheap beer and large aluminum trays of platanos, ribs, jerk chicken, roast pork and misc veg that is great for Take Out.

The not so good:
- You need a car : You don't want to walk too far from Club St. Croix, unless your comfortable with the 'rougher' side of life in the islands. Pretty much all of St. Croix is a mix of Resorts, local businesses, housing projects, and places that were destroyed by a hurricane and never got repaired.
- If you leave something unattended like a phone or camera, it will be 'reallocated' to someone else. This is the same for anywhere on the island except the most expensive resort.
- To the east of the resort is a power plant of sorts which you can occationally hear. After 2 days I stopped noticing it.

We hope to come back to work on the island later in the year and will request Club St Croix.

Solid 2 stars hotel. Nothing special. Good location. Room was under question mark. Room AC located above the bed was dripping, pillows get wet. so We had to moved our bed on a center of the room. Ants in a kitchen, bathroom was the worst. Shower faucet looks like never been clean. There was a piece of soap in a bathtub. Obviously they didn't clean after last guest. There is no beach access from your room. Must walk around. Lots of seaweed on beach. Also people walked the dogs on beach. Not all owners clean after their pets.

We stayed for a week in a beautiful condo with a fabulous ocean view. Breakfast on out private gallery. A short walk to a well kept beach. Breezes restaurant is on the beach with food and beverages while you play. Pool, hot tub, tennis courts. Full service kitchen when we chose to dine in. All you need for a fabulous week I’m St Croix!

The room was dirty and dated. The pictures are so misleading...it is probably a 20 feet stretch of sand. It is at the end of the shore line so the water is not the crystal blue that you see. It is covered in garbage and seaweed, I didn't even want to put my feet in it. The surrounding are horrible, and a oil refinery is in the distance. The "restaurant" on the property was closed and the hotel failed to mention that and they would not issue a credit as that was part of the draw. Transportation is not easily available as stated. Once you find a taxi driver get his number and hold on to it. I personally would never return to the island.

We LOVED this place. It was not perfect by any means, but, it was a terrific location, terrific staff, and a gorgeous view. We would go back in a heart beat. My only complaint really is the seaweed problem. I'm not sure if it's seasonal or not, but someone needs to keep the beach clean.

Don't get turned off by reviews saying the neighborhood is sketchy. If you've traveled at all, you know that residential areas in most countries don't look like suburban USA. This is a great location, with easy access to Christiansted by car. Plenty of parking, direct access to the beach and pool. Spacious unit with a great king-sized bed and furniture.

Be very CAREFULL if you choose to stay here ,Really BAD area Of Saint Croix !!!!! OUR CAR WAS BROKEN INTO ( while parked at their property ) and my girlfriends purse was stolen along with her passport , camera , money and personal belongins !!! It seems to me that we were being watched because it happened too quickly ! We left our room to check out the pool area , witch is right by the Breeze restaurant , and my girlfriend made the mistake of leaving her purse in the car .. she thought it was safe because we were parked right in front of the pool and we were coming right out ...wrong !!This happened on a friday around 7 pm and had to wait till the following day to reported it to the front desk as there was no one there at that time .. but i did go to the POLICE department to report it the same day ! When i finally reported it to the front desk , i was told that they had one security guard patroling at night and that he could not be in two places at the same time !!!!!!!! this is unacceptable !! This place lacks security ... You will Not be safe here..... Stay Away !!!

My girlfriend and I spend Xmas/New Years at Club St Croix. (Take note that it is now two months since we have returned from this trip--the accommodations were so bad that I am still upset).

The first night we slept so poorly that the next morning we pulled down the Murphy bed, took off the mattress and exchanged it for our crappy mattress. It was a bit better, but not by much. Oh, while moving the mattress I stepped on a piece of glass/broken plate so I had to stop to remove the glass and clean my foot.

A few days later, after I could no longer take it, we went to a local K-Mart so I could buy clorox bleach and a new shower curtain liner. Just what you want to be doing on your Caribbean vacation.

One of the two air conditioning units busted while we were there. I didn't want to complain about it because I was afraid we'd be blamed and charged.

The sofas in the living room smelled badly of mildew and felt constantly wet. The pool was uninviting unless you like your pool water looking a bit "milky." (ew!)

On a positive note, the beach area was beautiful and quiet. It was a great place to take a nap. We had no problem getting clean beach towels each day. The staff was friendly enough.

Honestly, the best part of our trip was when we went to St Thomas for the day/night and stayed at a $250/night Marriott. I've NEVER been so excited to spend $250!

Staying here really was a huge damper on our trip. We both wanted to go home badly at the end. If I could have changed anything about the trip I would have gone for half the time and spent more money at a quality hotel. We did try to get a room at a different hotel but they were completely booked for the holiday season.

Unfortunately, we now refer to St. Croix as "St. Crap."

The crime on Stx is mainly local on local, usually drug related.Use your common sense and you should be fine. The beaches are fantastic, and all public acess. The beach at ClubStx are nice palm tree lined sand beaches. It does have turtle grass in the shallows, so you miss the sandy bottom effect. Most of the other beaches are sandy bottom. Favorite resturants are Turtles Deli and Rythyms at Rainbow Beach both in Fredriksted. In Christiansted try The Pickled Greek and Paradise Cafe. Diving is awesome,N2 the blue in Fredriksted and Christiansted SCUBA are two really good shops. Our favorite dive is the Pier in Fredriksted Hope you enjoy your stay, we were in 110 at ClubStx
