Gentle Winds Condominiums consists of 66 individually owned two and three bedroom units located on 40 acres of beautifully landscaped property. All bedrooms have ensuite baths. Many of the units are rented directly by the homeowner on FlipKey or a similar vacation rental site and/or a real estate agent. Some units accept pets and have wheel chair access. There is a seasonal snack shack/bar. There is an excellent swimming beach as well as two tennis courts, half court basketball, jungle gym, shuffle board, salt water pool and a four hole golf course at no extra charge.
Happy to travel to the Caribbean again, we chose St Croix as it is a US Virgin Island. Patrick's condo C-6 O'Neill's, at Gentle Winds provided all we needed for a relaxing stay. The unit has everything anyone needs. The condo is lovely, with balconies, one screened, and is spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms and baths provide plenty of room & privacy and the beds are very comfortable. Beach items are also provided. The beach, pool and other facilities at the condo complex are very nice and well kept. The beach shack restaurant serves delicious food and drinks, as good as any on the island! It's so handy to have it right there on the property. The property is convenient to other points of interest, restaurants, groceries and entertainment on the island. We did rent a car and recommend it. Patrick is an excellent and accommodating host, very prompt with answers, assistance and recommendations. All in all, we will certainly return to this property the next time we visit St Croix!

I grew up on St. Croix and now being my family back to visit often. We usually stay on the east end, but decided to try something different this year. I know we will return to this part of the island (and hopefully this condo) for years to come. The condo was spacious, comfortable and the screened in lanai was wonderful. The pool and beach shack (where you could purchase food and drinks from about 12-5) were resort like. A ten foot deep pool on island is almost unheard of! Our kids enjoyed the diving they were able to do. The beach had ample beach chairs and tiki hut umbrellas so we never had an issue finding a place to sit and stay awhile. The beach, while slightly rough (it IS the north shore), was still usable, and we spent many strolls on the beach searching (and finding) for beach glass! The owners were very easy to communicate with, very friendly and accommodating, and I hope we are able to return to St. Croix and Gentle Winds someday soon.

We stayed in Gentle Winds from July 14 through July 22. First we had a zoom meeting with Robin which I was thoroughly impressed with, she answered all her questions regarding visiting the Islands, the condo, and referrals for activities. Robin was very friendly. The condo itself was very spacious and gave privacy to the five people we had staying there. I love the fact that we could cook dinner and have a view of the ocean from behind. The condo was clean and had all amenities you could possibly think of or need, I definitely over packed. I would stay at Gentle Winds again it was amazing. The shack has the best Caribbean wave drink I’ve ever had . The pool and private beach were also amazing. I highly recommend this place to stay.

We stayed in unit i2 (Frazier Premier Properties) in July and it was wonderful. Robin was welcoming (remotely) and available. The unit was stocked for cooking and exploring the island. The short walk to the pool and beach made it oh so easy to take it easy. Two decks and a screened porch (though it’s always pretty hot out), and a good AC system (the main area is central and the master bedroom has a window unit that works well but is a bit loud for sleeping). The condo area as a whole feels safe and well cared for, and is located well for short drives to Christiansted and Cane Bay. We found the beach here to be similar to others (nice sand in a thin strip, small sand-bottom swim area with adjacent surrounding small grassy and dead/live coral zones). Overall just great and we would come right back here.

Enjoyed our stay. Was told to get a AT&T cellular plan, so I got a month of service on an old phone. Did not use. Verizon worked everywhere AT&T worked. Liked Frederiksted better than Christiansted. Beaches in Frederiksted had calmer water and nicer beaches.

We were fortunate enough to stay at C6 Gentle Winds for a week in October. Without a doubt one of the best vacations we’ve had, C6 at Gentle Winds has it going on. They have everything you need - their blender makes the best frozen drinks! Our favorite part was the private beach with its own coral reef for us snorkelers to take in the crystal clear water and make friends with the fish! Not to mention it’s proximity to everything - Cane Bay is a must for the best beachside cocktails and the St. Croix Coffee Roasters in Christiansted for the morning Latte’s is a must as well!

We spent 6 wonderful nights in K-1 (Joe and Marsha's Condo) at Gentle Winds. It was exactly what we needed. So lovely, peaceful, and easy going. Our motto was "Sleep, eat, go to the beach. Repeat." Every morning found us in the loungers under the tiki umbrellas. An extra bonus for our adult son was that he said he saw more fish and better reef while snorkeling at Gentle Winds than he did on his half day excursion to Buck Island, although he did enjoy Buck Island also.
One "hiccup" was that Sunday found the electricity on and off several times throughout the day and night because of storms in the area, but yeah--no hurricane.
Besides getting lost a few times, things went well. We had excellent food at Flyers near the condo , Rossi's west side of Christiansted, Rum Runners on the Boardwalk, Cheeseburgers in Paradise going east toward Point Udall, and LaReina Chicken Shack on Rte 75 toward the Airport.
The condo was very clean and the washer/dryer was so helpful. The hosts sent an excellent information pack which I printed off and kept with me.

We had a very relaxing vacation at the Gentle Winds. The complex is a little older, but our unit was updated. There is a large pool that is cleaned daily with a lot of lounge chairs. There is a ping-pong table, shuffleboard and a pirate ship play area for children. This location a bit far from restaurants and shops. I would recommend getting groceries on your way. There is a snack bar located next to the beach which has great food and an assortment of beach drinks. It was open from 11 am until about 4:30 pm each day.

What a lovely property! The condo was recently renovated and is beautiful. The property manager was very attentive and quick to respond to our needs. Additionally, Gentle Winds as a complex is wonderful- great pool, great beach and the benefit of its own snack shack. We will definitely return.

Visited a couple that are staying for 3 months. 3 bedroom condo and 3 bathroom provide plenty of privacy. Nice kitchen and beautiful view. Very nice and quiet place. The snack shack is excellent and the food is as good as any restaurant we visited downtown. Jason makes the place special. Great beach and facilities. Very private.

Hi Andrea. I have not heard. It was not open as of June, but a great deal of time has passed and perhaps that has changed. The owner is very responsive to emails, so I would reach out to them to find out for sure.

Is this for full time condo or rental property? Either way, Gentle Winds is a great community to stay at. It's location is close enough to markets, the airport, restaurants and then top it all off with the ocean front location and you can't go wrong. Good luck. I would love to own a condo there but we aren't ready to commit just yet, so we are renting again for another week in December.
