Historic Caribbean charm is what you will enjoy throughout our 22,000 square foot island property. Uniquely situated on the waterfront in the vibrant downtown of Frederiksted on the West Coast of St. Croix, you will be delighted by the sweeping water views and spectacular sunsets every evening. Enjoy some of the best beaches on the island within walking distance. Each of the studios and apartments are fully equipped to anticipate your every need. In addition to the hotel, Victoria House is home to Flyers Restaurant & Bar, plus a large outdoor courtyard perfect for hosting your events, meetings, parties, weddings and more! Victoria House was built in the late 18th century, and has housed many prominent Frederiksted merchants and citizens. Its distinctive gingerbread trim was added after the house was partially burnt in the “Fireburn” labor insurrection of 1878. The Gardine Family has owned it since 1946. Victoria House has recently been lovingly renovated and restored, preserving as many of the original features as possible.

Detailed Reviews
Just stayed at Victoria House and had a great vacation. The property is lovey and feels very historic while modern. The owners did a great job on the renovation, a fridge, microwave and air conditioner is in each room and there is daily housekeeping. Each room is unique. There are lanai spaces and courtyard spaces to sit. The ocean breeze is delightful. You are in the heart of downtown. The water is across the street for snorkeling and diving, you can wade in too. Sandy beaches are a few blocks walk. Every morning we got breakfast at Pollys a few doors down and walked the strand and beaches. My friends would get snorkels and dive gear and go across the street to use it - around the pier is the best area to feel like you are swimming in an aquarium. We ate at different places each night including some nights at the pop up restaurant in the Victoria House restaurant space. I am already planning my next vacation and will stay there again.

Monty and Kevin are amazing hosts and made us feel welcome the moment we stepped foot in town. As a former resident of St. Croix, I wanted to stay somewhere in Frederiksted for a fair price. The Victoria House was clean, safe, convenient, and the room was beautiful and spacious with an excellent waterfront view for sunsets. The artwork imbues the room with local flair, St. Croix vibes, and a homey feel.
The restaurant below - 7 Asian Fusion - has delicious food and it was so nice to be a few steps away from the beach, Polly’s (for coffee and breakfast), Louie & Nacho’s, The Fred, and other local attractions. We certainly got our money’s worth and then some.
Thank you again! We will be back.

We celebrated my 30th birthday at the Victoria House. The owners were amazingly accommodating and even hooked us up with catering and drink options. The decorations turned out amazing, everyone was raving about the food and the VIEWS ARE TO DIE FOR! The bathrooms are incredible and the beds are so comfortable. Tv’s are equipped with roku and all the digital choices you could want. The location is walking distance from everything you could want and the coffee house next door is a must try. Thanks again Victoria House, we can’t wait to book again soon!

This place is great! Recently remodeled, staff were spectacular, special shout out to Emily for being so accommodating. The owner Kevin is a super nice guy and continuing to build out this beautiful property.
The boys walked across the street for a Christmas dive while I went for a run. Then a short walk to a SPECTACULAR snorkeling/dive location on the pier….sea turtles, sea horses, fish and corrals abound!
Seconds from two wonderful restaurants we frequented more than once over eight days, Six Nine (go during the day for lunch and say hi to Adam he makes phenom beverages!!!) and Cibone (long slow spectacular dinners with entertainment on some nights).
Ocean view is worth it ….water is right there and we watched sea turtles swim in the afternoon…and walked to the pier to watch sting rays, sea turtles and tarpons of the pier at night.
We will definitely stay here when we come back to Saint Croix!

I will always stay at Victoria House whenever I visit St. Croix. From the moment I booked this location, I received constant communication and all of my questions were answered which made for a stress free trip. The owner sent a welcome text when we arrived at the airport and was waiting to greet us when we arrived to the hotel. Luxury service and beautiful accommodations made for the perfect trip! Thank you, Kevin!

This charming guest house is one of the oldest buildings in Fredericksted. We stayed in the Turtle room, which is huge and has a very comfy king size bed. The room has a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Beach towels are provided, along with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion.
The Victoria House is in a great location, just a short walk from some great restaurants, gift stores, and the Caribbean Museum of the Arts. Kevin, the co-owner, and Brian, the general manager were on-site all five days of our stay and were incredibly helpful and friendly.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I stayed in the Mermaid room for a week in February. We had a beautiful ocean view from the porch, and loved the spacious room. You can see that everything was recently remodeled. We could walk out of our unit, down the steps, cross the street and be snorkeling in minutes. It’s also a short walk to several restaurants. We chose to rent a car to explore the island, and there is ample free street parking in front of the Victoria House.
One thing to be aware of is that late at night, people often cruise around Frederiksted with loud music playing (it ranges from Sinatra to Reggae). If they park nearby, it can be loud. Fortunately, Victoria House provides nice Sound machines, so we were able to turn up some crashing waves and sleep soundly. This would be an issue for any property, not Victoria House specifically. With the calm water and nice beaches, I would still choose Frederiksted and Victoria house over any other part of the island.

We spent the last two nights of our stay in St. Croix in Frederiksted and absolutely loved the Victoria House. Our massive room on the top floor (Mermaid Room) had an awesome balcony overlooking the water. The location was amazing with great sunset views and plenty of cool cafes and restaurants up and down the beach. Because of the Caribbean style shutters, things get a little loud at night being downtown but honestly that didn’t bother us much. Long story short, it was worth it for the location.
If you want to stay somewhere affordable, newly renovated, and in an awesome beachfront location this is your spot! Just a few minutes walk or drive will take you to some amazing beaches too.

This hotel is an absolute gem! We were travelling with our two teenage daughters and 7-year-old son and unfortunately got to St. Croix and had booked an awful hotel that we could not stay at. We were lucky enough to find two rooms available at the Victoria House (not easy to find in Feb.) and it not only saved our entire trip but made it that much more spectacular. Kevin, the owner, and his team have done an amazing job renovating this gorgeous little inn right across the street from the Frederiksted pier. The location is spectacular and close to restaurants, beaches, bars, and little shops. The view from the hotel is incredible, and the breeze you get through the open shutters is magical.
We were able to stay in the Sunset suite, which is a two-bedroom, one bathroom apartment with a full kitchen and plenty of space. Our daughters stayed in the Palm Tree room, which was smaller but perfect and private for them and equally as charming, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The property feels old and charming as well as updated and modern, providing the best of both for a St. Croix vacation. The view from our rooms was spectacular and the sunsets on the West End of the island are indescribable.
This trip was perfect, hugely in part to Kevin and his team at Victoria House. We will absolutely be staying there again, hopefully sooner than later!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Victoria House. It is an 18th century mansion, restored and converted into a boutique hotel. There are several different room sizes/types, some with connecting rooms (great for families). A larger group could rent the entire hotel. We stayed in the spacious Turtle Room, which is on the 3rd floor facing the ocean. Great views from the shared balcony! Really enjoyed morning coffee looking out over the ocean and having a drink at sunset. Note that the upper rooms are only accessible by stairs, so be prepared if you are on the top floor.
We loved the comfortable bed, mini-fridge, flat screen TV, very spacious room, keyless entry, coffee maker, and the location. It is right across the street from the ocean and walking distance to pretty much everything in Frederiksted. You can walk across the street and down 1 block and enjoy fantastic snorkeling or shore diving the pier. I would think that VH is perfect for groups on a dive trip to St. Croix. Several bars/restaurants/beaches are within walking distance, and a restaurant (Flyers) just opened below VH (unfortunately not yet open during our stay 2 months ago). You can walk a block to Jordan’s market for snacks/drinks/wine/beer/liquor. There is plenty of street parking available in front of the hotel. The air condition works well, but we really did not use it much, finding the ceiling fan adequate to keep us quite comfortable in the evening, and we were not in the room much during the day.
The owner (Kevin) and GM (Brian) are responsive and will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.

It is safe. There are lots of American ex-pays that live in the area and the locals are friendly and nice:
You can snorkel many places in the area. Just past the pier is a beach which is walking distance. There many other area beaches close by. The owners can let you know the best places to go.
Hi, There is fantastic snorkeling all around Victoria House! There are beaches a couple minute walk away. You can also snorkel from right in front of Victoria House, or from Frederiksted Pier which is about 50 yards away. The Pier is home to turtles, seahorses, several species of eels, spiny lobsters, and the whole catalogue of Caribbean fish. If you want to try your hand at Scuba Diving, there are 4 diving shops very close by, and the Pier is beginning dive friendly. Enjoy!
