Detailed Reviews
The Feather Leaf Inn is magical. It is a serene escape from the world, where we soaked in the quiet beauty and romance of the place.
We had a great stay of three nights. Our rental car was very useful, and we had very pleasant days on Rainbow Beach and walking through Estate Mount Washington, with terrific meals in Frederiksted – all close by. We spent each evening back at the inn, sitting on the big veranda, reading and listening to the wind and waves, and looking at the stars. We especially appreciated the tranquility of the inn – there is no distracting music playing, no TVs, and no noisy air conditioning units. (A couple guest rooms in the main house do have A/C.)
We stayed in the Dragonfly House, with a stunning view out to the ocean. Our room was simple but clean and comfortable, and we made use of the communal kitchen to make coffee in the mornings and store some food in the fridge. I was worried that we would be hot without air conditioning, but with the windows open, the breeze blew through and kept us cool. The thick walls of the old buildings also help keep out the midday heat. (There were fans in the room, too, if needed.) We recently stayed at an ocean-front unit where the A/C was so loud we couldn’t hear anything over it, so we loved falling asleep at night to the sound of the waves.
There are few guest rooms, so the Feather Leaf felt like our private hideaway. Owners Corina and Ryan are very friendly and helpful. They do a great job of keeping everything lovely and orderly but also relaxed and inviting. The Feather Leaf may be too rustic for those who want a full-service hotel or resort, but for us it was one of the most memorable places we have stayed, and we would love to return someday. So peaceful and romantic! And, how often do you get to stay in a restored 1760 plantation house overlooking the Caribbean?

We spent a romantic time out of time at Feather Leaf over the Christmas holiday, in love with its beautifully repurposed 18th century surroundings, its front row seat to the oceanfront west of Frederiksted, the easy come and go of our fun, like-minded fellow guests, the ability to cook our own food in a communal kitchen rather than eat out continually (right outside our room was a kitchen garden with thriving bushes of basil, oregano and arugula), and the passion of our hosts for life, the sea and St. Croix. Feather Leaf is not the Ritz or Martha Stewart-perfect, but it is perfect for people like us who revel in places whose natural beauty shines through without much artifice. Feather Leaf's location at Butler Bay is achingly beautiful, too, with hikes up unspoiled hillsides to sweeping views, and small, still-wild coves to take a sea bath or snorkel. Minutes away is Frederiksted with its friendly dive shops and beautiful coral gardens growing right off the cruise ship pier. It, too, is a special, authentic place, as yet unspoiled by overdevelopment. Our experience there and at Feather Leaf was so remarkable that we said to one another, "Shhh, let's not tell anyone." Dear Corina and Ryan, thank you for what you've created. As word spreads, we hope you stay ever as you are!

4 of us spent 3 nights at the Ocean House. The house and amenities and kitchen are all very clean and easy to use
The Backyard Deck has a 180 degree view of the sea and we quickly spent as much of our time as possible on that deck.
The wonderful suprise was the Main House which is really like going back in time to the 1910s. Grand spaces ,veranda and gigantic mahogany furniture. No glass on the windows only shutters also a beautiful swimming pool all included with the Ocean House. A 15 minute walk on a quiet road gets you to a sandy beach.

We grew up on St Croix and after a long absence, decided to come back and visit home. After a few days searching for a nice hotel on the F'sted side of the island, Feather Leaf showed up and we immediately booked. The owners (managers) Corina and Ryan were always just a text away and were always available to assist in anything we may need. Rooms were spotless, well appointed and very much had a Caribbean vibe to them. The balconies in the room were the perfect spot to sit with your group and look over the Sea. There are 10 acres of property with an old sugar mill on site if you want to do some exploring. Oceanfront and just a few minutes drive away from Rainbow Beach, the best beach on the island, and downtown Frederiksted, the location can't be beat.
When visiting St.Croix, this is an excellent hotel choice.

Such a beautiful space! I almost don’t want to write this review for fear that others will discover it and it won’t be my secret place any longer.
FeatherLeaf Inn is a restored Sugarcane Plantation built in the mid 1700s. Corina and Ryan have done an amazing job restoring/renovating it into a beautiful event space capable of hosting small events. The guest rooms are beautifully appointed and comfortable. The main room where our yoga sessions were held was perfectly sized for such an event (20 participants). The outdoor pool is beautiful and clean and the grounds well kept. Easy walk to a nearby sandy beach and a beautiful rocky shoreline at the base if the drive. AND THE FOOD!!!! Our event featured a plant based/vegan diet and every dish as absolutely delicious. The cooking staff went above and beyond to share amazing dishes at every meal. They even so thoughtful and provided us with a to go lunch for our flight home. I don’t know when they slept!
I look forward to visiting again and can’t wait to see how they transform the property they purchased next door.

The Feather Leaf Inn is a plantation estate built in the 1760. Ryan & Corina have totally renovated it into a fine inn. Located just a few miles from Fredriksted provides access to many fine restaurant and a large sandy beach is close-by. The rooms are up to date and there are many nice places to hangout: the large balcony, the pool and several common areas. The architecture is stunning and the 3’ thick stone walls provide great acoustics.

This is a beautiful small inn near fantastic beaches. We stayed in the main house in the Mahogany room, which had a lovely view of the sea and was very private and quiet. The setting is charming, and both the veranda and the pool are great places to relax. The owners know a lot about the history and ecology of the area, and they are working to be good stewards of the environment as well as good hosts to their guests.
One small drawback of Frederiksted, the nearby town, is that the restaurants are not the greatest, unless you like pricey, mediocre food. There is a good place on Rainbow Beach for a casual oceanside lunch, however, as well as nicely-done thin-crust pizza (Lost Dog Pub) and Dominican food (Alba's) in town. After a few attempts at the "nicer" restaurants, we decided to just either cook a simple dinner in the inn's very well-stocked guest kitchen or bring back take out and eat on the porch.

I have led many yoga retreats in destinations all over the world. Feather Leaf Inn is my new favorite venue! I would recommend it highly to other retreat leaders. The owners, Corina and Ryan, were the perfect hosts for my guests and everyone left feeling nourished by the amazing vegan catering, refreshed from the gorgeous land, ocean views and beautifully restored rooms, and relaxed from the easy going, comfortable atmosphere at the Inn. My reteat was a yoga retreat and the yoga and meditation room was just perfect. There were also options to practice around the salt water pool or under a gorgeous hundred+ year old saman tree. On a professional level, Feather Leaf was exemplary to work with and I felt so supported and pleased with my interactions with the owners. They had great suggestions and knowledge at every turn and were quick to answer my questions. I can't wait to lead my next retreat there!

The island of St Croix is beautiful and the Feather Leaf inn makes it feel special. It is right next to Butler Bay which has great snorkeling and scuba diving. I got to do my first wreck dive here. The food was very tasty. The breakfast is vegan but hard to tell on many meals as they are hearty and filling. Their chef does great work and everyone there works hard to make sure you feel very welcome. The shower and bathroom had everything I needed and the water got hot quite quickly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The grounds are very well kept and have a variety of native plants. The hosts gave a very informative tour of the grounds. The bikes to get into town made the stay very convenient. Ask about the local ultimate frisbee game if that is your thing. Great place to stay!

While respecting the history of this beautiful plantation, Ryan and Corina are pouring themselves into the refurbishing of each of the unique buildings Thier values and love for the planet are reflected in their work.
The experience here is calm, peaceful, authentic St Croix. They will help arrange a retreat or visit you will never forget and will likely have you looking at your choices of time management and planet respect before you leave. It is a very good thing!
The accomodations are unique in choices, clean, airy with soothing ocean sounds in the background. The opportunity to snorkle is a short walk to a beautiful beach. The pool and gardens in the back are very meditative . The open air main space for yoga and gathering create a comfortable and welcoming space.
For an unforgettable experience, not just vacation, contact and book with Feather Leaf Inn.
