Our room was wonderful, overlooking the beautiful harbor. The staff was terrific - even though it was a time share (we had swapped our week somewhere else) there was no pitch about buying there, just a great presentation of tours they had available
We were not supposed to spend the night in St Thomas, but we had to.
We did find a room at the Blue Bird Castle, thank you, because, every where else was full.

Taxis are plentiful in St. Thomas. It is easy to get a taxi from downtown back to Bluebeard's Castle. You should be aware taxis in St. Thomas charge per person rather than distance travelled. Suggest you pick up a free copy of St.Thomas this Week (actually published monthly) that gives the to and from charges for many places on St. Thomas i.e. the charge for 1 person from downtown to Bluebeard's Castle is $5; for 2 persons it is $4 each.
