We stayed there one night after our bareboat charter last week. We had a nice stay and enjoyed the facilities. It's a time share property, so it's hard to book for just one night. I never could make an online reservation, but they were happy to accept a phone reservation when I called one month before arrival. Our room had... More

I only have 2 negative things to say about this place and its 1-wifi should have been free but instead it was about $6.00 a day or about $22 a week and worked on 2 devices....when it did work. 2-we were charged an energy fee per person per day which totaled $42 and $84 per unit which served us no... I recently stayed at the hotel for a week. I had a room located by the Hilton area. I enjoyed the view from my room and the room was nice and clean when I got there. Eventhough, there are improvements that can be made overall the hotel is still nice. The pool and the jacuzzi area is very relaxing. There... More

Charlotte Amalie has no interest apart from a beautiful bay and the shopping business of the cruise boats. But if you are looking for a place to stay for one night upon arrival or before departing the USVI, then this is a decent place to go. This complex is a monument in itself with a number of facilities, the remnants... More

Just returned from a week-long stay at Bluebeard's Castle and we loved it! We had one bedroom villas which were spacious, had beautiful views and comfy beds. Our units did not have washer/dryers, however, these are available in some units and on the property. Resort has a nice pool with a waterfall and poolside bar/restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and... More

This is the best place on the Island to stay. It's centrally located and only a 10 minute walk to Yacht Haven. The hotel is nicely updated. The landscaping is maintained, pool is great, and the Pool side Bar and food is awesome!!! Jason and the other staff are great people. Really make you feel like home.

Was here for a short business trip. BlueBeards is a functional place to stay on St. Thomas. The offerings vary widely on the property, from "villas" to fairly standard rooms, although everything had a kitchenette as far as I know. Some rooms have great views, as the property is on a hilltop, other rooms have no view. The on site... More

I stayed here for about 15 days in March and had a blast. The hotel and grounds is very well taken care of. My room was new, clean, updated, had a great view and nice big balcony. The pool and pool bar is great, and the breakfast is quality and inexpensive. Jason the bartender is awesome good guy and great... More

The view and location was beautiful however, the room was not clean, the running water was yellowish, the pots and pans was scratched up and was infested with ants. All the restaurants didn't open til 5pm. The management was not friendly.

Bluebeard's is very up front- if you're looking for the Ritz stay at the Ritz. If, however, you like to strike out on your own and make your own fun, Bluebeard's is for you! The room was freshly re-done and had everything we needed including a small kitchen area, deck, and a washer dryer. We enjoyed the amazing views of... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bluebeard's Castle is an historic property dating back to the 1600's. The resort occupies an entire hilltop with spectacular views overlooking the harbor and town of Charlotte Amalie. Its signature red rooftops are among the first sights for arriving cruise passengers. The resort includes a centuries-old fortress bearing the name "Bluebeard," after the infamous pirate, and check-in takes place in the former residence of the Danish governor of the island. This tropical paradise is the perfect place for a private getaway as it is set on a secluded hilltop and overlooks the harbor of St. Thomas. Bluebeard's Castle is centrally located in the most desirable part of the island with world class shopping minutes away. With only a short drive from some of the most popular beaches in the Caribbean where you can enjoy boating, scuba diving, snorkeling and windsurfing. The island itself offers a wonderful assortment of duty-free shopping, world-class restaurants (including the top-rated ROOM WITH A VIEW on location!), hot night spots, and a variety of local flavor to satisfy every taste. This resort features history, breathtaking views, and easy access to town. Beaches are literally minutes away so you can visit them all including easy ferry rides to St. John and the British Virgin Islands (Tortola and Virgin Gorda). You will see why owners at the resort are passionate about their units. It is this passion that will once again be the reason that Bluebeard's Castle will become a sought after destination resort. Many lucky RCI members will take advantage of this now! The resort is in the midst of a historic multi-million dollar remodel that will change all that you have heard. The proof is found in our regular maintenance reports as well as our news and picture sections. Also, schedules of on-resort dining are now posted in these reports. Owners are excited about what the future holds and you should be as well. Spread the word. ... more   less
