My husband and I visited the guesthouse in late December. This was and incredible vacation. It was incredible, for a large part, because of three qualities that make this guesthouse spectacularly unique. First, the owners are not only friendly, but generous to a fault. They are very "hands on," and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable and...

I am not one for 'gushing' over hotels and throwing compliments around easily, however, Ron and Beth's Island View Guest House was one of the nicest hotel experiences I have ever had. Here's why: The place has an unbelievable view of Charlotte Amalie Harbor from their beautiful lanai - dining room - cocktail area. You won't find a better view...

We stayed for two nights and were extremely pleased! This place is a real bargain. The only drawback is the need for a car or taxi to get anywhere but they will happily call a taxi and it always arrived promptly. Our room was small but spotless, the a/c worked great, there is a small pool with a lovely view...

Ron & Beth (the owners) were very helpful and made us feel welcome. They sure enjoy meeting new people. My wife and I enjoyed our balcony room but mostly we liked the open air common area. Solid wifi. Only drawback is that the Guest House is up on the hill overlooking Charlotte-Amelie: you get the great view but you need...

My wife and I went down to St. Thomas for her high school friend's wedding at the Island View Guesthouse and it was the greatest time of our life. The Island View Guesthouse was so incredibly accomodating and fun. Captain Ron and Beth (the owners) were the greatest hosts we could have asked for. Ron cooks the greatest steaks north...

We stayed here for one night on our way back from Jost Van Dyke this past summer and it was such a treat after the disappointment of Sandcastle Hotel. The staff went out of their way to make sure that we had a room with a great view that was clean and bright. The view from the lobby area/dining area...

We stayed here one night, on our way to the British Virgin Islands. We were disappointed that the owners were not there, but we were very happy with the view of the harbor! We stayed in the pool view room with A/C. It met all of our needs, but we were surprised that it was so hot when we arrived....

In August 2008, I had to attend a conference in St. Thomas, which was held in a major upscale hotel. Further to be at the conference during the day, I had to work late in the evening, in order to keep everything running at my home office. Instead of staying stuck at a large hotel all the week, with limited...

We lucked into staying at Island View. Due to flight delays we missed the last ferry out to Tortola and needed to scramble for a place to stay on St. Thomas for one night. A friend stayed at Island View several years yearlier (when it was under previous management) and recomended it. Upon calling from the airport, Beth was friendly...

The Island View is the place to be in St. Thomas, unless you would prefer to pay hundreds of dollars a night for a Maui tourist-type mega-hotel. We stayed here at the beginning and the end of our sailing charter in the BVI. Wow, are we glad we did! We would definitely stay here again. A few of the amenities...
