Lobster Grille & Iggies has great food & a great atmosphere. I don't know why people complain about the "slow" derive. It's the island & the staff is on island time. We could learn a lot from them & take is easy. The rooms are average. 2 "queen" beds = 2 full beds. The mattresses have seen their time. However,...

For the age and size of this resort the food, service, activities and beach are the best! Our room was adequate, clean and comfortable. It was only a few feet to the white sand beach, great food, activities and beverages! Nice pool, lots of toys on the beach, catamaran for day trips and sunset cruises, and one of the best...

We stayed for 5 nights, in early January 2012, with the all-inclusive plan, and an Oceanview room. I thought the all-inclusive was worth it - we were there to laze on the beach, and it was nice to not have to worry about food/drink prices (the food seemed a touch expensive by menu prices). The food at the Lobster Grille...

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We did the all inclusive package in an economy room. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are tiled which is great because being on the beach sand gets everywhere and it allows them to keep the room cleaner. We didn't stay long enough to ride the...

My wife and I went to Bolongo Bay 26 Dec 11 - 1 Jan 12. We first saw it advertised in Yahoo Travel as one of the 10 Most Secluded Beaches - researched it - to include Trip Advisor - and overall liked what we saw. We weren't disappointed. The resort is on the south side of the island -...

Stayed at this resort through the new year celebration. Hotel is old, but it seems everything on this island is a little that way. Food within walking distance is limited to 3 places - Lobster Grill, Iggies, and MIM's bistro. Food at Lobster Grill and Iggies is ok, but overpriced. Staff friendly. If all you are looking for is to...

Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is a great place to stay. It isn't a luxury resort, but it's the kind of place you go for laid-back fun, a family atmosphere & water sports. It's great to be able to kayak, sail, paddle surf, and use bicycle boats & tricycle boats as part of the hotel rate...one after another. The beach hut...

We did not stay here, but had our reception here! We had a tent on the beach and it was absolutely beautiful. Lorie Leonard, the events coordinator, did so well in setting everything up for us. The food was wonderful, I had the surf n turf and my wife had the mahi mahi.....both were awesome. Having the tent/space was very...

Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is relatively small, and family oriented. For us, those were both very positive attributes. Also, the staff was helpful and friendly, although there were some highlights and exceptions that warrant mention. The servers at Iggies Beach Bar and Grill were attentive and enthusiastic. Also, the crew on the resprt's catamaran, Heavenly Days, were exceptional during our...

In any other country, town, or island, Bolongo Bay would rank an average rating at best, but on St. Thomas it is a real bargain on an island where run-of-the-mill Marriott rooms run at over $300/night! Not a chain hotel, but run by a family, Bolongo has its own little bay, great for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, jet skiing and generally...
