Nassau is a very busy and expensive place to stay which makes getting a one night hotel stay challenging if you need a layover for a flight. The Golden Palm is locates very close to the airport and the rates are just about as low as you will find for a decent place. This is not 5 star accommodations, more like university dorm feel in the common areas. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was ok - nothing fancy but a few options. Staff were all very pleasant and the shuttle was priced reasonably at $12 each way.

The place is fine for a quick overnight. It is clean. It’s really convenient to the airport. The restaurants within walking distance are passable. If you are looking for resort style accommodations, this is NOT the place. They are working on this place fixing it up, but their DIY skills really aren’t up to par. They owner and his family are friendly and accommodating. The rest of the staff was just so so.

Basic, no frills kinda place. But great customer service. Free hot breakfast. Comfy beds! Shower pressure is kinda weak. But rooms are sufficient with microwave and fridge. Across the street from Love Beach, a beautiful not crowded beach. Hotel location is further from tourist places, but you can ride the Jitney (bus service) for $1.50 and get to most places.

This place is not worth the price I paid. It needs a lot of work. The landscaping is in disrepair, the driveway is torn up. The pool area looks like it had its heyday in the 80s. I went to the desk and No one was there. I rang the bell twice and no one showed up. They told me breakfast wasn’t available until after 9am if I wanted to get it myself, otherwise they would bring it to me between 7-9am. I went to get some coffee but there were no cups. Will never stay here or recommend to anyone. Glad I’m only here for two nights.

This was, without doubt, one of the worst stays we have ever experienced. The reception area, a dark, dingy area, signals what you will experience. The room was dirty, and there was no way you could hang your clothes there! Just one rusty hanger was available ! The bathroom was atrocious. Dirty as heck. And to top it all, the room charge was $189 per night!

Do not ever book this place!!!

Firstly, my room unkempt, the sheets were dirty and our skin broke out due to the dirty sheets. The customer service was terrible. The maid was very nonchalant about the situation and was very rude. When I had told her she was rude her response was “ okay”. Her boss (Monique) decided to place the blame upon the security and not her ill-mannered worker. This is unacceptable and I do not recommend.

I reserved a room with king bed, sea view, private entrance approx 600 sq ft. What I got was a room just big enough for a standard double bed with a hard mattress and lousy springs. At least the AC worked well :/

I was told the hotel was full and only other room available had a queen bed and shared bathroom. I was refused any kind of discount for the inferior room.

I originally left a more positive review as this place has good things going for it. But after thinking about it, I can't recommend Golden Palm. It all comes down to the most obnoxious and rude employee I've probably ever met. This isn't an employee who's a bit coarse or has poor people skills. This reception staff wants you to know, for whatever reason, that she's got a problem with tourists. I tried saying hi to her a couple times but gave up after all you get back is a scowl. She goes out of her way to show her distain for you. Angry, foul, and miserable. She will do everything to demean you. It was remarkable to watch her go from smiling and laughing with the other employees then turn to you and become horrid. There's drink/snack sales at reception. I bought beer and pop. She literally refused to get it. She actually said, "you can get it yourself." She refused to even stand up and get it and made me do her job. All the while sneering. I travel to the Bahamas twice a year and if it wasn't for this person, I'd make the Golden Palm my usual place to stay. But I'll never stay here again and neither should you. I don't like leaving such a negative review. It's my first ever. But if Golden Palm is okay with this kind of person, they don't deserve to succeed.

We booked this hotel because we had one night in Nassau and an early flight to another island. We did not want the long and expensive taxi ride to the center of Nassau or the crazy touristy scene. We had very low expectations but were pleasantly surprised by the friendliness, convenience and cleanliness of the place. Good value and very practical! Their shuttle service was so useful and much cheaper than a taxi to get to the airport. It’s on a quiet side of west Nassau and was perfect for the night of rest that we needed.

Worst place ever to stay will not ever spend my money here again... the room was not clean properly when I move the towel from the bathroom roaches run from under them. The blanket was soil I had to ask them to change it. I stayed here for 4 night and 2 days my room was not clean. The ceiling fan was so filthy it look like it haven't been clean for weeks. Wen you lay in the bed the foot of the bed lift up. When I ask to speak to the manger to let him know my concerns they refuse to contact him by phone so after 3 hrs of waiting to speak all he can say is sorry. Leave your keys at the desk so they can clean the room and walk away. What kind of business place is this staff don't worth crap and neither does the manager. Don't waste your money trying to come here.
