Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau is often celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and prime location near downtown Nassau, with guests enjoying its proximity to local beaches and attractions. While the resort's cleanliness and variety of amenities, including water activities and adult-only spaces, receive commendations, reviewers have called out the hotel for its overpriced offerings and unexpected fees, detracting from its value. Though the staff is frequently noted as friendly, some travelers have experienced slow service, and noise can be an issue in the otherwise well-appreciated rooms.

Excellent property from the moment that I checked in with Sierra my vacation began. No problems at all the room was absolutely amazing and the food was excellent and affordable. I tried the fish and chips at feeding frenzy and the cod was so fresh. The water park was small compared to paradise island but I will be returning when I’m not cruising.

This is our second stay at a margaritaville resort and we loved it!! We stayed at the one particular section and it was so worth it. The butler service was exceptional and the rooms were set up perfectly and had everything we needed and more. Blender to make margarita and tequila and mixer, waters, snacks, nightly treats from the chef and the room was clean and fresh with lots of drawers, hangers, mirrors lighting. The only thing I would change in the rooms is having chairs with cushions in the deck for two people so two people can sit on comfy chairs and enjoy the beautiful view.
The property is very clean we stayed at one particular we had access to the adult pool on the 4th floor as well as the pools and beach next door at British Colonial. We loved walking into to town and enjoyed many of the local restaurants as well as at the resort.
Loved the chia pudding at the cafes, the bbq ribs and the burger at vacation club restaurant and we loved the steak house especially the singer that came and sang to us personally.
Yuri was an exceptional butler as well as those that filled in for him when he was off and Mark at the front door at one particular wins the most friendly award. Always asking how we were, telling us how great we looked and to have a great vacation. Some of the staff could learn so much from him - everyone was friendly but his attitude is superb and notable. We loved the spa we had two massages both were great. The spa was clean and we loved the steam room and co-ed hot tub area. Suggestion for the spa would be to have the attendant frequent more picking up towels and restocking the towels as well as picking up flip flops, tea cups and restocking the waters. But minor adjustments.
We had just come from 3 days at BAHA Mar and we enjoyed margaritaville much better by far. Pricing, quality, friendliness were far better. For those saying this resort is pricey come from BAHA Mar area and you will be pleased. It seems that all costs have risen in resort destinations we really appreciated the value and quality at margaritaville. Prices for food/drink probably 25-30% less than BAHA Mar with service being better in most cases. We also loved the location but that is a preference to be in the mix of town.
We will return!

We just got back from a week at this resort and had the best time. My husband and I had a room with our 2YO and 4YO, and my mother and brother stayed in a separate room. The water at the beach is incredibly clear, and we saw a sea turtle one morning as well as many sea urchins, crabs, snails, etc. along the rocks. The lazy river and main pool were great and perfectly suited for kiddos or people just looking to relax. I didn't spend a ton of time at the adult pool but when I went midday it was quiet and beautiful. Even with the cruise ship guests using day passes, we did not feel crowded or like we had to get up super early to get a good chair or beach umbrella. It was really fun to watch the cruise ships come in to port.

We ate at Frank and Lolas (pizza), the vacation cafe (breakfast, brunch, and dinner), Feeding Frenzy (lunch), and Joe's mercantile (breakfast and lunch). We enjoyed all the food we had but we thought the drinks and food was a tad expensive. We expected that but found that $20USD for two domestic beers was quite spendy, so we ended up buying the majority of our alcohol from a liquor store that was close.

Our room was cleaned everyday and they did a good job. We were on the 4th floor and had mosquitos when we went on the balcony, so make sure to bring bug spray! Mosquitos were not at the pool or the beach. Overall the resort was quiet, and we never heard neighboring rooms.

We would definitely come back and plan to soon!

We highly recommend this resort to any and all! Our family of five absolutely loved everything about this resort. 3 kids aged 6-11.

We booked the 2 bedroom marina suite with a pull out couch in the living room. There was more than enough room for us. The view was like no other, and the suite was virtually soundproof from the outside world. Housekeeping completed an immaculate job every day.

We booked the all inclusive package. This package was worth every penny, and took any stress away of having to bring money to the pool area, to suppers, to the beach, etc. The food and drink were exceptional. Each restaurant offers something for everyone: pizza & pasta, sushi, local dishes, fresh seafood, ice cream, bakery items, lunch choices at the pool. We have absolutely zero complaints.

The resort grounds are exceedingly clean. There are so many garbage cans around the pool deck, and at each elevator stop inside. The staff take extreme care of the entire property including the beach area. We spent lots of hours at the resort guest only beach area. We brought our own snorkel gear and found lots of marine life!

Our only word of caution: the waterpark signs indicate the lifeguards are present 830am onwards and the waterpark opens at the time. Unfortunately, the lifeguards actually arrive at 10am therefore guests cannot use the water slides, cliff jumping and flowrider until that time.

Keross was an absolute beauty. He was the flowrider (wave rider machine with body boards) lifeguard for the majority of the days we were at the resort. Keross was patient and knowledgeable with all the kids trying out the flowrider. He took time to explain how to have the most fun on the flowrider, and demonstrated his incredible surf skills.

Manny the recreation director was very professional and helpful. Once we told him of the amazing customer service from Keross, Manny ensured Keross was recognized by his supervisor and relayed our words of praise. This meant a lot to us.

To and from the resort, we taxied without concern. We also walked around the town almost every night, and felt safe doing so.

In summary, we have absolutely no complaints about this resort. Our kids are asking to book another visit!

I recently attended a conference at this hotel. It has an ideal location - walking distance to the cruise port and downtown Nassau and about 20 minutes' drive to the airport. The best thing I enjoyed about this hotel was watching the cruise ships sail into port on mornings from my balcony. All rooms have ocean view balconies, which is a definite plus. I also enjoyed the adults-only hot tub on the 4th floor and the beach.

A pleasant surprise was that there was a handheld steamer in the room along with an iron.

On the downside, I would have preferred a buffet breakfast as the portion sizes from the Vacation Café's a la carte menu were too large for me, and I wasn't able to get just a banana with my breakfast. Also, the food took long to arrive. Shout-out however to Dee, who was friendly and accommodating and gave excellent service.

I was surprised to learn that this hotel only opened in 2021 as it is in need of proper maintenance. The down button cover for the 8th floor elevator was missing for the duration of my stay. One of the lights in my room flickered for about 2 minutes before it came on, every time I switched it on. I reported this to front desk, but it was not rectified during my stay.

Maintenance issues aside, I would consider returning to this hotel.

Dear Maria, Thank you for your review and for choosing to stay with us at Margaritaville Beach Resort Nassau. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay, with the location, views, and adults-only hot tubs being some of the highlights. It's also delightful to hear that Dee provided such excellent service and we'll be sure to inform her of such. However, we will be sure to alert our maintenece staff about the elevator button and flickering lights to ensure it gets fixed promptly. We will also consider your comment regarding a buffet style breakfast as we continue to enhance our guest satisfaction. It was a pleasure hosting you and we hope to welcome you back for a more seamless experience. Zachary Frangos Managing Director CustomerService@margaritavilleresortnassau.com +1 242-603-8400

From the moment we arrived to our very last minute we fell in love with this resort. As a single mom of two I was nervous coming because I knew my son prefers the pool and my daughter prefers the ocean. How would I be in both places? Well, I came to the right place! The beach centrally located right in front of the water park gave me the opportunity to sit beachside and be in a central place for both my kids! At arrival we were upgraded to a BEAUTIFUL two bedroom suite. It has a wrap around porch fully loaded kitchen family room and two full bathrooms! Walk in closet in the master and all the amenities we could need! Housekeeping came every day and refreshed our rooms which most hotels do not do anymore.
The staff….not sure where to begin…the smiles we received on arrival were huge and welcoming….from the front desk to the cleaning lady who sang to us while we waited for a taxi! The people of the Bahamas are beautiful people….I had more wonderful interactions with people on property as well as off property. It felt like a home away from home! I’d like to pay a special thank you to Lakeisha who treated us like we were royalty. She made sure our chairs were ready for us as soon as we came to the beach with towels laid out and funny little towel designs my kids loved EVERY DAY! She gave us great tips for food and even escorted us to a snorkeling spot to make sure we received a fair deal. She constantly checked in on us at the beach to see if we needed anything and would strike up a small conversation with us even though she was extremely busy serving several other guests and making them all feel as we felt. The water park was not huge but big enough for my 12 year old to enjoy it all. He spent most of his time on the awesome flow rider! The grounds were beautifully maintained and even with the ships crowds there was a private beach just for hotel stayers that the employees made sure was kept just for hotel guests. The hotel is located next to all the shopping you could ask for and restaurants in walking distance. No real need for taxis unless looking for something further away. We also went to Stuart Cove for snorkeling by Lakeisha’s recommendation and it was a great experience! It is safe to say we will return to margaritaville. It was one of the most peaceful vacations we have ever had. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!

I stayed in the One Particular Harbour building, which is marketed as a quiet, relaxing building, for 7 nights travelling with my mother. On our second morning (Monday)I was awakened by an impact screw driver building light standards and a stage immediately outside my room. This noise continued for a couple of hours, at 4 pm a DJ started sound tests of his equipment which were so loud my room vibrated from the bass. A letter arrived under our door advising that a staff appreciation party would be held that evening from 9:30-11 pm with a suitable volume of noise, if we had any questions or concerns would we please reach out to the front desk, this letter was signed by the managing director/general manager Zachery Frangos.
I chose to speak with a manager, Cindy, who was not overly receptive to my concerns about a party and music being held immediately outside my room. The simple solution would have been to move us to another room for the one night, that was not offered.
The food truck set up under my bedroom window at 8 pm with a very loud generator, at 9:30 pm the DJ started screaming into the microphone over the music and this lasted until 11:15 pm.
Why a party was held between two guest buildings, outside when the complex has an events building away from the guest quarters is beyond me.
I asked to speak with Zachery Frangos, general manager on Wednesday morning and was denied the opportunity to speak with him so I spoke with a second manager, Dorian, who appeared more interested in my report of the impact of this party on my stay and he guaranteed that something would be done, that he would come and report back to me after my issues were sent up the chain of command. He failed to follow through with his promises. I have even emailed Zachery Frangos and he failed to respond, this is the managing director/general manager of a 4 1/2 star resort.
This is a very expensive place to stay and the lack of concern for guests is obvious by the manager results, by about half of the staff who are very interested in their phones and you need to ask them to fulfill a drink request or a food order and mediocre food.
My advice would be to choose another location to stay while in Nassau.

I have to say I was nervous to take this trip!! We are traveling with our severely Autistic son for the 1st out of country trip !! Anyone who knows s traveling with children or adults on spectrum must book this hotel.. They have implemented a new program just to severe those with autism..Toni was a great help at front desk got us into our room early made sure our son had everything he needed and more. We got a room with kitchen and butler service .. They told us how to use everything, how to order from store got us taxi and even a boat to take my son and husband for a ride.. He couldn’t do the pig adventure.. We had a cabana on the beach service was wonderful with drinks and food.. And getting paddle boats with no wait. This hotel had plenty of towels and snack items is located in walking distance to most things and $25 car ride to casino 👀👀. Win win Omar 242-455-0330 or lady j if you need a bigger van 4 plus wheelchair 242-816-1203 $30
Both were great just a text they came and got us and dropped us when needed.again having autistic son it doesn’t always go to plan so this was a huge plus when needing to leave on my own with him. Our room was lower lever so it felt like walk out to pool.. we stayed in the condo section and used adult pool across from us. The water park was clean and Great.. we met many people from all over and even met the Human Resource Manger who went into detail about the autism training they are implementing at all of their hotels.. So we are excited to see how the TN hotel will be in March . We changed plans just to use this hotel because of the new training. My son had wonderful trip and staff was very welcoming to him and us .Pool and spas were very clean and no issues on beaches at all. Would say this is the hotel to use ..Was not overly crowded every when ships were in port ..

We booked this for our 30th wedding anniversary. When we were booking I just went onto the website, picked the room I wanted and booked it. A few days later I received an email saying we booked a Bahamian resident rate and they would have to adjust my rate. I replied to the email explaining to them I wasn’t sure how that happened because all I did was pick the room I wanted and booked it. I also asked how much the difference was. At the same time my husband called the 800#. He was told by the representative that was just an automatic email that goes out and to not worry, that we were booked and that we had booked the correct rate. No one ever responded to my email so we didn’t worry anymore.
On our arrival day we go to check in and are told “oh we have to adjust your rate because you booked the wrong rate” We told them what customer service said and that I had also responded to their email. After going back and forth they finally said they would honor the rate that I booked and they also gave us 2 commemorative cups. While we waited for our room to get ready we walked around looking for the different amenities because we had also added the License To Chill club to our reservation.
We asked the front desk if we needed anything to access the LTC club and were told they had discontinued it and they just hadn’t taken it off the website yet. I told the front deck that I had paid for it already so what was I supposed to do about that? She then proceeded to tell me that the $190 that I paid for LTC club went towards the extra cost of the room….. so basically they didn’t honor the room rate that I was told was good and they gave us 2 plastic cups thinking that would make us happy 😒
I will say the room was “nice” and it was clean. But the people in the room next to us were always on their balcony smoking cigarettes so we couldn’t enjoy our balcony.
The beach is VERY small, crowded and dirty. The pools were cloudy and had trash sitting around. Most of the chair around the pool were “reserved for a large party” so seating was very limited.
Any place you order anything from the people working act like you are bothering them. Most everyone seems to have an attitude and a frown on their face.
Food/places to eat is very limited around there also. Our most enjoyable meal was at the steakhouse where we ate on our anniversary. While it is overpriced, the food was good and Giles our waiter was great. When we arrived at the steakhouse we first went to the bar while we waited for our table but the bartender basically ignored us. We weren’t able to get a drink until we got to our table.
We were so disappointed with this experience at Margaritaville and will not come back. We definitely do not recommend staying here.

Dear Arin, Thank you for choosing our resort and taking the time to write about your experience. However, we're sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your most recent stay. What you have described is far from the seamless visit we strive to provide. While we're glad you deemed our rooms clean and enjoyed your meal at the steakhouse with Giles, we regret that the overall experience fell short of your expectations and our standards. Your feedback is vital, and we'll address these concerns with our team. We hope to welcome you back in the future for a better experience. We started off badly, when we arrived we were asked for over $2000 for incidentals, that’s a lot of incidentals! We didn’t want to give that much over and leave us short for eating out of resort etc so asked if we could give them $1000 and we were told we could but we wouldn’t be able to charge anything to the room and we wouldn’t be able to eat the breakfast that we had already paid for, because service and tax was extra and we couldn’t charge that the room….even though they have $1000 of our money and service and tax at breakfast is $20 tops.
We’re now on day 8 of 10 of our holiday, we’re still “not allowed” to charge anything to our room so the hotel just has our money and we can’t spend it.

The hotel is great for the kids, they love the slides and lazy river, not sure it’s quite a waterpark but it’s fun for them. The beach has been rammed because of the cruise ships, we also had hotel guests smoking marajuana openly in the sea and security did nothing about it. I don’t want that around my children so we stuck to the pool. We’ve had one day where we couldn’t get sun loungers.

The Bahamas is expensive and we knew that when we booked, But the hotel is ridiculously expensive, we spent over $100 for every meal that we had, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. In the vacation cafe, pizza restaurant, pool bar or joes market. I would recommend exploring the local area. We found a great supermarket and stocked up on water. And there are great places to eat nearby.

Services is massively hit and miss, some staff are amazing some are rude. Given you pay 15% service on everything you should at least get a smile! Also even though service is added on to the bill there is definitely an expectation to tip on top of this and it’s on every bill to add “tip” on top, the tip has already been paid so take that off and allow people to give extra if they want.

All the food we have had here has been good, with the exception of the vacation cafe it just hasn’t been worth the money.

The rooms are ok, we’re a family of 4, the beds are comfy, but not enough storage space for us to unpack our cases. The A/C isn’t particularly powerful either. We arrived on a Thursday and on Tuesday we had to ask 3 times for our room to be cleaned, as it had only been cleaned once in that time.

Movie night at the pool last night and the sound wasn’t on loud enough to hear and then the movie cut out half way through.

In all we have had a nice enough holiday, but we’re in the Bahamas so what’s not to be nice, the hotel hasn’t made our holiday amazing, we have by adding days out to the Atlantis, to rose island etc.

The hotel has been very average in all aspects with a hefty price tag.

Thank you for choosing our resort for your trip to the Bahamas. We are sincerely disappointed to learn that you were not satisfied with your experience. Rest assured, our prices are competitive for our area, and incidental fees are standard practice in our industry. However, we'll be sure to discuss your feedback regarding our service and the air conditioner internally for further consideration, and to ensure any opportunity for improvement is seized. On a positive note, we appreciate you mentioning our delicious offerings, excellent location, and family-friendly amenities. It was a pleasure having you here, and we wish you safe travels. I don’t believe you can just rent beach chairs because they must give you a wristband to be on Margaritaville beach and property. If you’re wearing a wristband, you have all free access to the property and water park. You can call, email, or message the resort for a sure answer. You can also check with the British Colonial hotel Nextdoor. They previously rented beach chairs and it’s a more private beach. There is another vendor on the far end of Junkanoo beach near the jet ski rentals that is also very nice with service.

Is there a security deposit per night?

Yes there is a room deposit required. I don’t remember how it was calculated. Just like US hotels, they want to make sure you don’t damage anything or leave an unpaid bill.
