The Goldwynn Resort & Residences boasts a prime beachfront location that guests adore, along with a modern and serene atmosphere that makes it a tranquil retreat. While the rooms receive compliments for their spaciousness and modern amenities, some visitors have encountered issues with cleanliness and service.
The hotel's cleanliness, in general, earns high marks, though not without minor hiccups. A beautiful infinity pool stands out among the amenities, yet some guests feel that the hotel's pricing doesn't quite match the service quality, with the restaurant costs and additional fees being points of contention for many.

Hotel's Favourite
From the stunning grounds, functional stylish rooms with well appointed terraces (superb bed with the best pillows!), sweet efficient staff that took such care in accommodating our needs, and all the attention to its gorgeous detail, this place is our new Bahamian favorite. The proximity to the Baha Mar and downtown is unbeatable, and having the white sandy Cable Beach at your feet is utterly precious (hearing the waves crash from your balcony is something rare). The infinity pool is just spectacular – perhaps the nicest pool I’ve ever been in, with its stunning cabanas, great poolside service and comfortable “theatre” seating that keeps you riveted with stunning views from every angle – I’ve never seen anything else like it. The awesome vibe is relaxed, elegant and fun, too! We met fantastic people – had a lovely time eating poolside at the lobby bar and its indoor/outdoor restaurant overlooking the ocean. Luxury at its very best – can’t wait to return.

My husband and I had the privilege of booking a weekend staycation as pre-opening quality assurance guests, prior to the resort opening in February, and we had an amazing experience from start to finish. From the moment we pulled up to valet, we were greeted with warm inviting smiles. Check-in was quick and seamless and included bubbly ! Mr. G assisted us with luggage and walked us up to our room where we opened the door to one of the most breathtaking room views we've ever seen. The stunning infinity pool and beautiful Bahama Blues were the stars of the room for us. The modern décor and layout of the room made us feel immediately at home and comfortable. We loved our welcome gift bag which was a beautiful Goldwynn branded canvas beach bag filled with lots of cool branded items like a coffee mug, swell bottle, luggage tags, coasters + more ! The temps dropped pretty low while we were there so we didn't take full advantage of the amazing pool deck and infinity pool, but that's just the excuse we need to come back. We did get a great workout in at the state of the art gym. We live on island, off Cable beach actually, literally 5 mins away from Goldwynn , but as soon as we walked through the door of our room it felt like we were whisked away. Goldwynn is truly a treasure, the architecture and design, the location, the views, the vibe, the staff and service are all top tier and I can't wait to see everything in full swing when they officially open. Rooms are limited as it is a luxury boutique hotel, so I'd suggest booking early and in advance to ensure you get the dates you want. We're already planning our next stay

This was our second stay at Goldwynn with our 2 year-old son. We had a great stay all around and highly recommend it to any couples and families.
First, we have seen major improvements to the beach and hotel. The beach is well maintained and the staff is very attentive to providing towels, drinks, and anything else you need. The pool is now heated and very enjoyable. The hotel is very modern and clean from the lobby to the rooms. The rooms are immaculate and cozy. It felt like a 5 star hotel in every aspect.
Second, the staff is very friendly and listens to suggestions! We were always greeted with smiles and when we had issues, the staff were quick to resolve.
To management: one minor issue I came across is that the account summary in the room TV breaks down the charges in a different way than the folio that is printed out upon checkout. The account summary on the TV displays a granularity that is confusing - it breaks down the daily room fee into smaller transactions (e.g. room outlet charges), separates OIA gratuities from subtotals, etc. - this may be important to accounting, but not for the guests. I would suggest the checkout folio as the true format and reflect this format for the room TV account summary. This will allow a seamless experience for the guests.
From booking the reservation to checking out, Goldwynn has thoughtfully cared for their guests' experience. They truly make it feel like a 5 star hotel. We will visit again!

The resort is beautiful! The room was very nice with a huge balcony, a great bed and we really enjoyed having the kitchenette for snacks as food is very expensive in the Bahamas. The location of the hotel is good as well and close to the Bahamar without all the kids/noise. The hotel is quiet, making it easy to sleep in on vacation. The pool and beach are also lovely with plenty of chairs.
The food at the resort was just o.k., but we had a car and were able to go out to other restaurants. Several times the outdoor restaurant was out of ingredients to make a item. We did not experience food outages at other restaurants we drove to. The coffee bar was very good. We did not try the main restaurant at the hotel. There was only one. Food choices are limited here.
Where the hotel falls short is on service, except for housekeeping. They were very good. We have stayed in many 5 star Caribbean resorts and the service here is lacking for a resort that considers themselves this level. The staff are very friendly, but I think Bahamians are friendly in general. It's great to be friendly but it helps if they actually provide a service. At the beach one day, we had three workers watch us get towels and move our chairs under an umbrella on the beach while they seemed quite content to watch us. After we had gotten the chairs in position, one ask if we needed another towel? Geee...thanks, uh no.
One lady at the front desk was very rude when I entered the resort from the front door looking for a lobby bathroom, demanding to know what my room number was in the way of a greeting. Before we left to go home I questioned her rude behavior. She stated security had called the front desk to question me. I think she was lying as I was a nicely dressed woman sporting a Goldwynn bracelet ( your room key) and carrying a Goldywynn water bottle from our room. Also we had just driven in the gate to the hotel which was opened by security when they saw our wristbands.I still have no idea what got into her, or why she though it was o.k. to treat a guest this way. It certainly put a damper on my vacation, and I hope she does not treat another guest this way.
One shinning star was Kevin at the pool/beach. He was awesome! He went out of his way to be sure you had everything you needed.
Bottom line between the rude front desk worker and below par service we would not stay at the Goldwynn again. It's a shame because it really is a beautiful resort.

I ended up at Goldwynn Resort & Residences by chance after an unfortunate first night elsewhere on the island. Italia at reception was incredibly patient, allowing me time to decide whether to book through Booking.com or directly with the hotel, answering all my questions thoroughly. Now, after six nights, I can genuinely say the stay has been outstanding.
Goldwynn is truly all about the details. It felt like being a guest in someone's well-curated home, where every thoughtful touch had been anticipated. Upon arrival, I received a beach bag and two refillable metal water bottles, which became daily essentials. One of the faucets even dispensed filtered drinking water—a rare and much-appreciated amenity.
The rooms are spotless and inviting, with plenty of space and everything you could wish for. As a frequent traveler, I can honestly say my studio room here has become a personal favorite. Everything felt brand new, and the kitchenette, complete with a high-end coffee machine, was an exceptional touch. Returning here after a day out was always a pleasure. Housekeeping made sure twice a day, that nothing was missing.
The pool view is nice, though I did miss the turquoise beach water found in other parts of the island. I didn't really use the beach there (lots of seaweed) but took a local ride to Paradise Island instead. Was super easy (and funny) to take the local Jitney, it picks you up/and drops you off directly from the main road/walkside next to the hotel.
Compared to other five-star hotels I visited on the island (for lunch and dinner), I found the food and drinks at Goldwynn to be a bit pricier with smaller portions, but the quality was top-notch. For that reason, they still deserve a full five stars!

Rooms are pretty nice. They promote ‘live music’ but it’s really a live dj playing music that permeates any beachfront or side room. Did have an alarm go off 2 days in a row in the 8 o’clock hour with siren stating to be ready for more directions. Luckily it was once each time and not multiple times a morning.
Couldn’t get washcloths often - they were frequently out, so when room was cleaned, we got a towel and couple of hand towels.
Workout facility was nice.
Spa is not really a spa, but an area with room or two for treatments, a very tiny bathroom and two seats to wait. There is no steam, whirlpool, etc. After a massage, when you are given your nice infused drink, you can’t take the glass back to your room to finish, they don’t have anything else to put it in, so you just sit in the check in area to finish it.
My massage was fine but be aware the deep tissue was all done w elbow and forearm, which doesn’t allow for actually getting into smaller muscles that may need attention. Overall, 3.75 out of 5
Oh, my husband loved the one real onsite restaurant, I didn’t like at all. If you want to go to another restaurant, it’s a cab ride or 1 mile walk to Baha mar with lots of dining options.

The hotel itself is wonderful! We were met with champagne and smiled all around, the staff was very friendly! The golf-view studio room we stayed in faced the street and had a nice view of the golf course. The balcony was huge with comfortable seating and it was more pleasant than I expected to sit on the balcony despite the fact that we couldn’t get an oceanfront room. The room itself was pristine, with extra touches like automatic shades and a Nespresso coffee machine by Lavazza. There was a nice variety of capsules and the bar fridge was well stocked with a variety of complimentary drinks upon arrival. We had our groceries delivered and we were able to prepare everything easily with all the gear provided in the kitchenette. The shower control was broken when we arrived, but it was fixed right away. Other than that, the bathroom was nice, clean and had everything one needs. Their welcome gifts were a nice touch and much appreciated! The food and drinks at the hotel are a bit overpriced, but of excellent quality. The beach goes on for miles, so you’ll definitely enjoy walking and exploring. The beach towels are plentiful and the selection of water sports equipment is definitely a plus. The only drawbacks are the ocean swimming and lounging by the beach/pool area. There are a lot of seaweed patches and not enough clear areas to swim and enjoy the beautiful turquoise waters. We were really bothered by the constant squawking of the seagulls. When we were there, the hotel had several large floaties in the water for guests to use, but they were taken over and sullied by the seagulls, so they were more of an eyesore and a bother than useful. The seagulls were everywhere and they were extremely annoying. We can’t fault the hotel for this, but they should try to do something about these pests. I’m a beach-loving traveler, so I don’t think I’ll return here, but what a shame, because the hotel itself is truly amazing! If only Goldwynn could put this hotel on one of Jamaica’s or Cuba’s pristine white beaches….

This is such a beautiful resort with incredible views, F&B offerings, and rooms. It truly ups the standards of luxury for the destination. Compared to the mega resorts on Nassau, this property feel special and unique in its smaller size, upscale amenities, and premium experience. Every staff member I talked to was genuinely kind and happy to help with any request I needed. The hotel incorporates local culture and cuisine into multiple facets of the guest stay, and I could not recommend it more.

Myself, husband, and two kids (3 & 5) stayed at Goldwynn 4/14-4/19. We had an Ocean Front Suite on the 2nd floor. Immediately you smell the fresh fragrance in the lobby and on the room floor. My husband and I enjoyed the Prosecco while checking in. The front desk staff Achantae and Toonsie(excuse me for the mispelling) were very helpful with information about the island. Beach/Pool servers Duckquan and Marissa provided excellent service. Marissa always complimented my kids and was very pleasant. Duckquan was prompt with service and gave good insight when talking with my husband. Unfortunately there were some things I noticed with the hotel. My family ate dinner at OIA the evening of 4/14/23. I was dissapointed at the lack of variety on the menu. There was an over abundance of tapas and sushi items. The kids mac n cheese was $20.00! The menu should have several seafood entree options. You couldn't miss the $210.00 Tomahawk dish. Sheesh! Really, who are we catering to? There were other guests with children who we spoke with that weren't satisfied with the menu prices. The lunch menu wasn't better. There needs to be more handheld items on Amara's menu. Examples are spring and or egg rolls, quesadillas, nachos, grilled chicken skewers, sliders. There is no way a guest should pay $20 for a beer. There were only six beach umbrellas on 4/15/23 once we get on the beach around 10:30 am. There had to be at least a dozen beach chairs. My family and I ate at several restaurants on the island. OIA could not accommodate our dining needs. With all that being said my family got some much needed rest and sunshine.

My family and I had the pleasure of experiencing five comfortable days at the Goldwynn Resort &Residences. We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath unit. It included a fully outfitted kitchen-dining area. There was also a large living area with a comfortable couch and extra chairs. Tv's were also included in the living area and both bedrooms. Walkouts were provided from the living area and main bedroom to the sizable balcony allowing for an unimpeded view of the beautiful infinity pool, beach and ocean. The pool area had countless lounge chairs and towels for guests to use without having to wait. Staff was ready to assist anyone who needed help including ordering food or drinks at the pool area. There was a fully equipped gym available for our use on the main floor. The in house OIA restaurant provided indoor and outdoor dining with excellent food and beverage menus. Of course it was at a location in the building that provided an amazing view of the ocean while dining.
The staff in the hotel, restaurant and beach were very friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about them.
There were places close by to visit like Baha Mar casino and many other locations too many to mention.
Goldwynn Resorts and Residences offered a very relaxing place to come back to after our excursions. Unlike other places that can be too crowded and busy because they tend to be too large.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and I strongly recommend Goldwynn Resort & Residences for anyone looking for a very modern relaxing location for your stay in Nassau, Bahamas.

There are huge multi- person floats available to lie on in the ocean that are anchored. I brought my own personal floatie but didn’t end up using it….and didn’t see anyone else using one. I didn’t see floaties available for purchase either. But I wasn’t looking for it as I bring my own. My guess is that you could use your own. I hope this helps!
