My wife and I purchased a timeshare week at Sandyport in 2003 and have returned each year since. This is a small property by resort standards providing a peaceful and private setting yet conveniently located with access to other island facilities. An excellent choice if you prefer peace and quite.

This was our 4th trip to the Bahamas and our first time at Sandyport. We were assigned 411 which was spacious and nice. Loved the location. Just a Jitney ride to anywhere for $1.25. You can't beat that.. We did not have any hot water in the shower until the day we left. We were told twice to just let...

The hubby and I came here for a weekend (first weekend in May) Originally we planned to stay at the BahaMar but the opening was delayed (quite a few times) so we decided to go w/ Sandyport. WE had a blast. The room was quite comfortable, we had a basic studio suite. They supplied us with plenty of towels, they...

Of the many options, I still wanted to choose Sandy Port and it was the worst decision of my life. To begin with there were several power outages for hours at a time without being warned. The Resort does not have an generator! Instead I was given a candle the catholics use along with a match. I had a toddler...

Though we liked the resort we would not stay here again unless they install generators as power was out for many hours at a time so no A/C, TV etc (at night). This is apparently not uncommon in New Providence.

I have to admit I was very nervous about staying at Sandyport because the reviews are so mixed. We stayed a week and really liked it, and here's the scoop - if you want to party and have crowds of people, this is not for you. If you want to enjoy each other's company and relax and have peace and...

Location is close to the airport and one bus directly to dowtown for $1.25 per person. Many good valuable restuarant near the hotel. Good view inside the hotel and have access to the beach. The room and bathroom space is a little bit small. When you open the door, it is bed. There is only a small desk. I think...

I was really looking forward to staying at this resort and it is indeed just as cute as the photos on their site or here on Trip Advisor. Overall, our stay was really good but we did encounter a few disappointing moments. First and foremost, the unexpected resort surcharges that you have to pay on top of what you've already...
