The Ocean West Boutique Hotel is frequently celebrated for its exceptional staff and serene charm. Guests are particularly enchanted by the tranquil atmosphere and meticulously cared for antique decor. While the hotel's amenities, including the pool and transportation services, are well-regarded, some guests feel that in-room coffee would be a welcome addition.
Despite a few remarks about limited clothing storage space in the rooms, the cleanliness and ocean views are consistent highlights. While its proximity to the airport is a plus for travelers, the location is noted as less convenient for town excursions.

A castle on a hill, the hotel is a stunning departure from the resort area. The hotel is gated, the beds are extremely comfortable and the staff was extraordinarily nice. There are limited amenities but the breakfast for a fee is made to order. The beach across the street is nice but not what you think about when you see pics of resort beaches- sand and ocean was just fine for me. The rooms are spotless and the hotel has a European feel. I highly recommend this little gem of a hotel. However if you have mobility issues this might be one to skip- it is high on a hill and there is no elevator . You must be able to do steps and if you don’t rent a car the walk down to the beach is no joke- we personally enjoyed the walk- Nice little summer beach bar at bottom of the hill called Sunset Beach bar- great food and people. Excellent hotel for a quiet out of the way vacation. There is no coffee in the rooms but they will easily accommodate with a coffee tray(pot with coffee).

We stayed 2 nights in the Emerald room and had a good time! The property (pool and garden) and the house itself are amazing and quite. The room is not huge and other than a wardrobe to hang your clothes you have no place to put your other clothes but we did not stay long enough to find this negative. The room has nice furniture (luckily no carpet!), the balcony with furniture to spend time there is great and has ocean view. Breakfast a la carte outside on the terrace/balcony -also with ocean view- is a great start into the day. The prices are readonable. Try the breakfast sanwich with crisp bacon, cheese and egg - yummy! Only the coffee was lukewarm by the time the food arrived. Airport transfer back and forth was great and inexpensive! It's just a short drive but a taxi is more expensive. You can also book a transfer to other destination or you can stop a public bus just down the hill on the main road for 2$. There are 3 restaurants within walking distance, 2 to the right and 1 to the left. We recommend "Da Plantation", good local food and drinks!

Excellent hotel for an overnight stay in Nassau, due to it's proximity to the airport. If you want to visit town, though, you might prefer a hotel with a more central location.
Furniture is not new, but very well maintained.
It would be nice to have coffee in the room, as well as perhaps complimentary water bottles instead of $3 per.

This hotel is comfortably close to the airport on Nassau and you can arrange transportation to and from the hotel with them at surprisingly good rates. All of the staff that we met at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was originally a home, owned by a wealthy individual and hence it is quite stylish. The rooms are a good size although wish we had one with a super king bed, but what we had was comfortable. The wifi works just fine. The views are excellent and there is a seriously good restaurant next door, albeit expensive (Sopadilla). We had breakfast at the hotel and again, fairly priced and tasty. For those without transportation the local bus service is available close to the end of the drive and is again, very fairly priced if you want a ride into Downtown (number 10 or 12). The local beach was also deserted, made for a pleasant walk. Really enjoyed our brief stay - we flew onto Eleuthera subsequently but we would come again.

This hotel is definitely unique among all that Nassau has to offer. We specifically looked for a place that would be quiet and peaceful, away from the noise and clamor of the downtown area. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and we found the room to be clean and comfortable. The views are spectacular from the windows and balconies. It is a short walk down a hill to get great food and go walking on the beach. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking peaceful sleep, unhurried atmosphere and just pleasant surroundings. The one caveat is that one must either rent a car or take taxi/shuttle service whenever a trip to town or excursions are warranted.

If you appreciate timeless elegance, characted, tall ceilings, light, views of pool and ocean, you found your boutique hotel. The concierge was very attentive, we called them when we arrived at Nassau Airport and within 15 minutes an attractive car picked us up and drove us 10 minutes to the hotel. There were security gates which opened to take up to this tropical oasis. We were greeted with a smile, shown our room and balcony (Topaz suite). They had thought of everything, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, bottles of water, refrigerator, mirrors in the room, outdoor balcony seating with table so we could enjoy a tasty al fresco breakfast. Highly recommend. Only regret is that we didn't spend some extra nights! We'll be back!!

We stayed at the hotel for only a short time, but it was enough to have a truly positive experience.
First and foremost, our check-in had to be done at 10 PM due to a significant delay with Bahamasair. The front desk staff - DAVRIAN - warmly welcomed us and even arranged for a pizza since we were starving. At checkout, they provided us with fresh fruit, even though breakfast service hadn’t started yet.
The hotel offers airport transfers and rides to other areas of Nassau at a very reasonable price. While the building and furniture are a bit dated, this actually adds a certain charm to the hotel.
Throughout our stay, we were treated with exceptional hospitality. We highly recommend the Ocean West Boutique Hotel!

My husband and I stayed at Ocean West Boutique Hotel for 4 nights and we cannot wait to go back! The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, they really make sure quests are comfortable and have everything we need. The hotel itself is very clean, and the staff is very attentive, At times, we felt like we rented the entire hotel for ourselves because there are only 10 rooms and you never have to worry about getting a lounge chair by the pool. This hotel is perfect for couples or singles that just wasnt to unplug and relax.

Spent a wonderful 7 days at The Ocean West Boutique Hotel. The staff were the nicest most courteous people I’ve ever met. They made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Being a small hotel it was very quiet but that was just what we wanted. The walk back up to the hotel from the beach and restaurants is a little steep, so bear that in mind if you have any physical difficulties and are not intending to hire a car. The hotel does have a taxi service that they offer if needed and it is very reasonably priced……definitely cheaper than outside taxi services. If I’m going to be at all negative I would say the bathrooms have seen better days and could do with being refurbished, but they work and everything was clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would urge anyone looking to book without hesitation. Should I stay again I would probably try and get a room with a balcony just for some private outdoor space. Thank you to everyone who works at Ocean West for making us feel so welcome.
