I believe this resort may be out of business. The last time we saw it a couple of years ago it was in terrible condition and we would not advise anyone to go there. There were only four shabby rooms in the whole place that were occupied, their restaurant was shut down, and the pool was so disgusting I wouldn't even put my feet in it. Very sad. Club Land'or holds many years of wonderful memories for our family. The location is so amazing that I cannot understand why the owners have let it completely deteriorate. No one there, even Tony the manager, seems to know what is going on. Lawsuits are flying, and timeshare owners (including me) and Club Land'or employees are being ripped off big time.
I wish I could give this place a ZERO!! I have never been in a more run down discussing hotel!! When we told the taxi driver where to take us he said “OH!” That should have been our first clue. Then we pull up and the outside of the building is run down, and unkept. It looks like there was at one time a water feature, but, if that’s what that was, it hasn’t worked in YEARS! We go inside and the lady at the desk is very nice (actually the only nice thing about the entire place was the desk lady and the security guy) our room wasn’t ready (not sure how that was possible since there was no one there) but no worries, she had a “better” room she could give us. (I cannot imagine what our original room was like because what we got was terrible!!! And she said this was much nicer) We walked down a hallway to our room and the smell of the hallway was indescribable and very unpleasant. We get to our room and I wish I could explain the smell that smacked you in the face when we opened the door to our room. OMG, YUCK!!! The room was awful! The furniture was from the 1980s and had been used hard!!! The couch was a miss match of frame, cushions and pillows and the arm chair looked like it should go out with hazardous materials. The beds and pillows were awful, mattress had to have been original to when the place opened and the pillows were so used they looked like they were stuffed with packing peanuts. The floor in the one bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years and the trim around the door was rotting. The outside of the building was so run down that the room above us, the sliding glass door didn’t even shut the entire way. The water feature in the courtyard hasn’t had water in it in years, the pool was an interesting shade of green, NO WAY I would even dip my toes in that water, let alone swim in that pool!! We walked around the building and it looked like a scene from a scary movie, or a haunted house. We looked in some rooms and it was obvious no one has used them in YEARS!!! We were only staying one night, we sucked it up for one night, but if I had booked this place for more than one night I would have left, there is no way I would have stayed there!! Everywhere you looked something was broken, run down and left to rot. The place was literally falling apart, I’m really not sure how it is still open and how it has not be condemned (probably because they don’t condemn places in the Bahamas??). Bottom line, this place is should be shut down, DO NOT stay here!!! You will be very mad that you wasted your money and disgusted by every aspect of this nasty, run down place!!!…
Shocked! That almost describes our reaction to this “resort”. “Last Resort” is more accurate! Dirty, broken, untidy, stinky, old, run down, dilapidated, shabby, mould and mildew. No elevator. We booked this room and WOULD NOT stay there! We left. We couldn’t even unpack our suitcases! I wouldn’t even take my shoes off! The furniture is old and dirty. The appliances were the same. The bed was old. I checked the sheets. They were badly wrinkled, and thin. The blanket had holes in it and the bed cover was literally falling apart. Mirrored walls were smudged, cracked, and broken. Small, old bathroom with a plastic shower curtain on a small stand up shower. This room is definitely not worth paying for. I only gave it a one because zero wasn’t available. Don’t book it! Gross!
I should have read reviews before booking! Although the people were nice (guests and hotel employees) location next to Atlantis was nice and the view of the yachts spectacular- that is all I can say with a smile on my face. The whole island is overpriced- so we pat ourselves on the back for saving money with room. HOWEVER- the grounds were horrid (see photos) the water was rust colored in the bathroom, there was no wifi in the room (nor microwave, blowdryer, shampoo) Even the taxi drivers said they hadn’t been there for years. Bugs in room- we had 2 sizes of ants and others had roaches and worms. No elevator is least of my concerns! We were grossed out the whole time. Again- the staff ( Evonne at front desk especially) extremely helpful and kind -almthough limited hours at front desk.…
