I went with a girlfriend for 5days/4nights. The water slides are out of this world! Beach was nice but the water was rough by the end of the trip. For food, we went off resort to the fish fry, you must go there! Anthony’s is also great. 2-4-1 drinks during happy hour. With the pandemic of course, some shops were closed. Regardless I had a nice time.
We went with a group of 10 and can't say enough good things about our experience! Our room was on the 23rd floor in the tower where the rooms had been updated and we were ocean facing. It had an empty mini-fridge so that we could put our own drinks in there. This was our first visit and staying in the royal kept us central to everything. There is a lot of walking but at every turn and step there was something fascinating to see. The beaches were great. You had your choice of the main beach or the cove beach. Yes you can still sit on the cove beach you just can not use their private pool unless you are staying there. We moved pools each day as well just to try out all of them. Every employee we met at Atlantis was incredibly happy and friendly. We were there the first week of February 2020 and there were no lines that we had to wait in. Some of the check out's take a while because if you use your room card there are multiple lines to complete and it just keeps the line moving slower. While it is expensive the food everywhere we ate was really great. We ate at higher end restaurants and some of the grab and go places as well and it was good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.…
I stayed at Atlantis in February and even with about 100 guests on property, you still can’t get any service (15% tip is included in everything, even a bottle of water). Rooms, property, spa and pool chairs are all about 30 years old. No one is practicing social distancing or mask wearing - especially in the casino. If you want a worry free holiday, go somewhere else. Not worth the $ and possible COVID-19 infection.
My friends and I had a great time here! Everyone from the staff was so friendly and fun to talk to, especially Big Mo! We ran into him a few times throughout our stay and every time, we walked away laughing from such a great conversation. We all wish we could’ve stayed longer just so we could have more conversations with him! The staff really made this trip so enjoyable and fun.
Ok. Oceanfront room is nice. Room outdated but ok. It felt like a motel glorified room. The reception is nice. Good selection is ok. Enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the atmosphere. All of this for a very pricey anniversary package. The worst thing experienced is the staff. No one cares about you or your experience. Nothing is done correctly. Spa is horrible. NO ONE from the staff smiled to us during the entire stay. It seems Bahamians are pessimistic folks and they feel like it is the last day on the planet for them. This was all pre-covid. I can only imagine what their attitudes look like during this pandemic. Avoid this place. Not worth your $$$$$$$. Horrible service and sad staff. If you don’t care about any of this stuff, the resort is the only nice thing.
