This was our first time in the Bahamas and Atlantis came highly recommended. When we arrived, we were randomly selected to be upgraded from the Coral Towers to The Reef which was absolutely beautiful and clean. We had a "studio" room which included a small...More
We love it here:) The beach is quiet ( compared to the other Atlantis beaches.) There is a pool that is wonderful and typically is not very crowded. The beach offers a cove environment, chairs with hoods and plenty of towels.
The lobby is stunning...More
It has been about 20 years since i was in the Bahamas on a college Carnival Cruise that docked there for a day. We ventured out to the Atlantis. It was huge then and is even bigger now. This time was a little different as...More
This is our 2nd time staying at the Reef and 4th to Atlantis. We were very dissapointed with check - in as there were only 2 desk clerks, and people who had already been checked in kept coming back with problems and slowing things down...More
We enjoyed our stay at the Atlantis Resort. We had originally booked a room in the new Coral Towers that were due to open beginning of July, however, we were notified 2 weeks before our trip that there was a delay and that we were...More

In addition to the comments already provided about getting sun anyway (to which I agree), most of the attractions that are outside (water rides etc are open and stay open so don't worry about that. Besides the beauty of the reflected sun in the water, you will still get everything else (go in the ocean anyway, its great and its warm) For reasonable amounts of rain just get a chair with umbrellas near by and a few palms and you probably won't even notice.

Stay AWAY I mean far AWAY from the Reef we've stayed at Atlantis 3+ times, every time at the Royal Towers, this last trip of 9 days we paid to stay at the Reef, and bite the back of your fist NEVER again! Everything was a complete disappointment, the lights in our bedroom did not work, the lights in our closest did not work, the mini fridge had a mind of its own, the curtains were the wrong size for our window/sliding door, ice machines were broken on 3 floors, there was mold in our shower.... they say "luxury" I say I'm better off sleeping on a lawn chair outside with the stray cats. No one from management has contacted us, no one has done anything to make things right. So stay at the Royal Towers, your upgrade will be far nicer then the utter crap shoot the Reef has been, complete disappointment, I don't think are family will ever return....we have 2.5 days to go to get off this island.
