We stayed at Hotel Montagne for one night on a recent trip to Halifax from Toronto. We found it to be excellent value for the price. The location is excellent for travelers being as it is just off the highway, It was spotlessly clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The onsite restaurant serves very good food and is open through dinner and then opens up early for breakfast so travelers can be on their way quickly. We would stay again.

An excellent “road side” motel that is situated to be very quiet. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious – with the great benefit of allowing dogs for a nominal charge. Our room had been renovated. The owners were pleasant and responsive. We would be happy to stay again.

Great place to stop for a night while traveling! Comfortable and clean. Good shower, quiet night and Dog friendly. There is a diner with good food and friendly service. Janin was welcoming and charming. We will stop again.

This was a great motel to stop for the night between Halifax and Ottawa. The rooms are very clean and the beds were really comfortable at an affordable price. The restaurant also had delicious food and very good prices. Would highly recommend!

Conveniently located on half way from GTA to PEI and just off the highway, this place is spotless clean and very comfortable. Nice room, cozy bed, everything you need in order to get a good night sleep after 10-12 hours of driving. Restaurant that belongs to this motel is surprisingly good. My wife and I enjoyed dinner and breakfast very much. Nice people too. If you don't speak French prepare to be patient because not all the staff at motel and restaurant fluently speaks English :), but we didn't experience any problem at all, especially when English is not our first language as well. If you are not completely tired and it is not too late, visiting Kamouraska is recommended - beautiful place on St. Lawrence river - unforgettable sunsets and it is only about 5-10 minutes drive from the motel.

My Sister and Brother in Law stay here every year going to and coming from PEI. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless and have been updated. Don't let the outside fool you. The rates are very reasonable. It is roughly halfway for their trip from Ontario to PEI. My Sister says this is the cleanest motel room she has ever stayed in.

Stumbled on this gem while frantically looking for a place to stay late Saturday night travelling to NS. Actually started at a little motel about 50 km west of St Pascal and the woman at the front desk called this hotel and were able to secure a double room. When I asked about my 2 dogs, she was stated that it was also pet friendly. We were so tired and thankful that there was vacancy at this hotel. So convenient right off the highway, yes its a little dated but clean and comfortable. Recommend for sure.

Well it’a a motel. Strange decoration in the motel and owner. Crap wifi that you can’t even connect. Too many chairs in the room. At least they have a great restaurant just in front of the motel. It’s open early too.

On our way back from NS on a saturday night with no reservation - riviere du loup was completely full but spotted this place thanks to other reviewers and 'near me now' - nice big clean room for just about $100 - and a restaurant w seafood right beside it. Can see it from the highway but think it'll be a quiet peaceful night. Thanks!

Stayed here twice now at this roadside Motel in April and May 2015. Both times en route from Innisfil, ON to Nova Scotia. This motel by far is not five star but it very clean and affordable. I traveled here with my mother who thought it was very clean - and she is very very particular about not staying in dirty motels. This motel also has a restaurant which again has a limited menu but the food is good and pleases mom. The motel is pet-friendly as I brought my small dog with me on my second trip and this was welcomed. Nice owner - greeted me upon arrival and was very informative.
