staff was very nice but resort was run down and dirty, dish wash was un usable and couch was worn and ratty looking, rooms need lots of repairs but pool and staff made up for it in kindness and helpfulness.

Hotel's Favourite
With RCI timeshares, you have to keep expectations low. That way, you can be pleasantly surprised versus eternally disappointed. That being said, we were very pleasantly surprised at this resort. It was in a beautiful spot, with a lovely beach. Although the decor was slightly dated, the attention to detail was there, including artfully folding our towels, changing towels every day, and raking the beach. We had a lovely time on the island, and went to some beaches that were completely deserted except for our family. The pool and grounds were lovely, and we enjoyed our entire time there. Perks included a workout room and laundry. The restaurant served lovely meals right next to the beach. All staff were very friendly. We would absolutely go again, and I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Serious safety incident
Stayed here May 2023. I was propositioned for sex in the hot tub by a local man. He touched his groin/bulge and then kissed/licked my hand. I promptly told him I was married and got out of the water and went to a more crowded area. Many locals were using the pool and surrounding area. The unit was very outdated but clean. The kitchen essentials were greatly lacking. The front desk staff made it seem like I was inconveniencing them when I asked if there was a shuttle or did I need to get a taxi. One lady at the front desk was extremely rude. Based on my other stays at RCI, this resort was very disappointing. I will not be back here.

Stayed 2 weeks. The grounds were well kept, beach is nice. There is plenty of seating on the beach and around the pool area. The bar and food was very good. The rooms could use some updating. It took us about a week to get everything up to par in the room. Broken bed frame, inop light, not a full set of dishes, silverware, glasses, no toaster. Staff was very good at taking care of our issues. All said, would go back again!

we have a timeshare here and it is not a five star yet the people are five star and so is the beach. WE are not looking for people to cater to us, spoil us or hand us food on a silver platter yet these people would do that. They are beautiful humans. We love it and will come back forever. We are so thankful we can come here. The rooms are just fine, the beach is great and the bar/food is all one needs. If you are entitled, feel a need to be serviced constantly and want to whine, then this place not for you.

This resort needs lotta update. Grounds are at a very minimum kept up. The rooms are old in need of new paint and furniture. The air conditioners drains are clogged, and the majority of the back porches have mold and mildew growing on the deck itself peeling paint in several different rooms throughout the resort, lack of essentials, needed to stay for one week like coffee, filters, dishwasher soap and dish soap.

I have been a member here since the mid 1990s. Other than flat screen televisions, nothing has changed as far as the buildings and interiors. But the location is great and the beach is wonderful. Now for the specifics: The beach attendants and lifeguard are hardworking terrific people. Getting us chairs and umbrellas when we wanted them and grooming the sand the way they do, they deserve a grade of 5 dots. A similar rating goes to the coffee shop staff. The grounds are beautifully maintained so that the lawn/ pool group gets 4 dots. We found the front desk people friendly, but not always helpful; so 3 dots for them. Housekeeping gets a grade of incomplete. While my ocean facing balcony was wonderful, going through the unit to get there was not. There are instructions for the guests to wash the dishes they use, but we had to request the dishwasher powder and dish cloths, which were delivered. The midweek cleaning did get our bed made and the trash removed but nobody noticed the pile of used towels on the sink or the need for a new soap bar to replace the crumbles left. The next day we asked the front desk for new towels and soap. We got the soap, the old towels were removed and several hours later, new towels arrived. We never got new beach towels after the first day, as they had none available at the front desk. The routine cleaning does not cover the deep cleaning needed like every decade. Someone would notice the deeply engrained dirt, broken window blinds, torn curtains and missing light bulbs. There is broken furniture in the bedroom and living room. One of the most important places at the resort is the fountain in front by the security booth. It was a great tip to learn that this is the only place the Internet service will usually work. The front desk likes to say that someone needs to come in on Monday to fix some switch. Not true as Internet service is erratic at best on any day of the week, any time of the day. The pool bar and restaurant used to be the social hub of the resort. We were never sure when it was open for business and this should be the biggest profit center of the resort. In the past, there were shuttle services for rides to a supermarket and to Port Lucaya. We had a rental car so that loss did not matter, but it's a big loss for guests without cars There used to be a member update meeting. I didn't miss having a disguised sales presentation, but if the resort wants to keep having a revenue stream, new money needs to keep being generated. My final grade goes to ownership / management with 0 dots. They are running the resort into the ground and have stopped trying to make any necessary improvements.

As an owner at Island Seas Resort in Freeport, Grand Bahama, my vacations there are always relaxing and fun. The beach is well maintained and beautiful leading into the crystal clear turquoise blue waters of the ocean. The staff are friendly, helpful and always ready to assist. If visitors do not choose to rent a car, taxis are always readily available. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the views are stunning. There are fun venues to visit nearby, such as Port Lucaya Marketplace and bars. If you enjoy karaoke, there are plenty of opportunities, both at Island Seas and nearby. The pool is beautiful and welcoming, and Coconuts and Sea Grape Grille serve delicious food, and Java Nutz provides wonderful coffee selections. I highly recommend Island Seas for your next vacation get away.

What a fabulous 2 month vacation we had! The resort is just beautiful with lovely fun polite employees. Jermaine, Adrien and Frankie kept the beautiful pool area very clean and the beach is raked daily. Numerous chairs and umbrellas are put up early for guests. Attention to detail is always first on their lists! We are in the on site resturant almost daily. The food is ABSOLUTLY delicious. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Caroline makes the very best conch chowder! The housekeeping staff changed our sheets whenever asked. Plenty of towels and always there to help with a positive smile. Such a joy to get to know all the employees. If you want a quiet lovely vacation , I would highly recommend Island Seas. We so enjoyed our 2 months there and will return January 1924!!!
