This was really a mixed bag for us. My wife and I used her sister's time share and we stayed in "The Ocean" building. This is the oldest of the three (Coral and Marlin are the other two) and it has the best view of the ocean. The problem is that the rooms are very old and look like they... More

My wife and I exchanged our RCI timeshare for The Coral Taino Beach and overall our vacation was very nice. However, there are a number of thing that could have been better so read the review to have a good idea of what to consider and expect before booking. Check-in - the real check-in is at 4pm and pretty much... More

The rooms were better than expected! Very "Las Vegas" like with all the mirrors and pink marble. We had to wait too long for our room to be ready though. The one bedroom with lockout was perfect for my husband and I and my son and his girlfriend. We each had our own entrance, full bath, and kitchen. The whirlpool... More

We always take two weeks to visit the Caribbean or Pacific Coast at Christmas time to relax. Since we had visit most of the major reorts in Mexico we decided to try the Bahamas this year. We bought two weeks on e-bay under the search " Cheap Caribbean". First off it took foreever for the resort to give us a... More

Great location, 15-20 minutes from airport, beautiful beach! Despite my comments below we really did have a great time on Grand Bahama Island- more so from what the Island had to offer than our accommodations. *keep in mind they add a 15% gratuity to all food/bar tabs automatically, check your bill's! Could use some work: The resort itself could use... More

Stayed in the Marlin from Dec.3 - Dec. 10th. I have to say that because of how far north Grand Bahama Island is, it would be wise to plan your trip in the Summer, Fall or late Spring, as the weather can still get cold, as it did during my stay. First of all, regarding the resort. If you plan... More

My husband and I traveled down to Grand Bahama Island from September 16th to September 23rd (2010). My parents had given us a gift certificate for a week stay at select resorts and we decided to use it on the Taino Beach Resort. With the many mixed reviews I was a bit leery about the resort, however, when we got... More

We had the pleasure of staying at both the Flamingo Hotel and The Marlin at Taino Beach. The Flamingo was pretty consistent with the descriptions I read by other visitors. It was a place to crash for the night but the air conditioning did not work well and the floor was in need of repair. The staff at both the... More

Just returned from staying at the Marlin at Taino Beach for a week. Traveled with two small children (5 and 7 yrs old) and had a wonderful time at this location. This is one of the most lush and nicely kept tropical locations I have been to in the carribean. The resort is extremely well kept and the service at... More

My wife and I went there for our honeymoon. At the resort you have a swim up bar that opens at 1pm and happy hour starts at 4pm. The water slide is fun and you can walk to the beach. The good thing about the resort it’s not crowded. If you are looking for crowds (spring brake type) go to... More
