I have been fly fishing for bonefish in the Bahamas for 30 years. This includes a visit to the Mangrove Cay Club about 10 years ago. My wife and I decided to pay a return visit to this great resort shortly after hurricane Matthew, which hit the islands three weeks prior. To say the least, we were not at all... More

Located on a sheltered southern shore of the middle bight of Mangrove Cay, Andros, Bahamas. An efficiently run operation where everything was "on time", done correctly, and with a smile. Immaculate accommodations with everything in working order and maintained in working order. The >15 yr old resort appeared only 1-2 yrs old, which is quite an accomplishment in a salt... More

Party of 6 at the Mangrove Cay Club - fishing was excellent (some days easy, some days hard, but that is fishing) and the weather was great. Everything from the rooms, the service, the guides, the staff, the food......wow!

First, I want to say that the food & accommodations @ the Mangrove Cay Club are outstanding. Liz & her entire crew do a wonderful job of making sure guests are well cared for, & the evening meals are as good as we've had anywhere. However, we came for the bonefish, & the "hotel" aspect was secondary relative to our... More

I and 5 others just returned from a fine Bonefish fishing trip to Mangrove Cay Club. I have had a chance to fish a number of places for these great sport fish and have to say this is the best I have experienced. Reasons? Flyfishing for bonefish is a crazy fun sport and the experience is dependent on guiding, water... More

You get what you pay for and it you are seeking the best lodge on Andros to stay at after a long day of fishing this is it. The guides are very knowledgeable, fun and boy can they cast a fly line. They are very good flying casting instructors for those who may be somewhat new to the sport and really help you improve in a short period of time. Liz runs the place perfectly and has only the best staff. Chef Iyke is the best seafood chef... More

Come for the fly fishing, stay for the food. Chef Iyke makes a long day on the water worth it when you come back to fresh hog snapper fillets, conch fritters so light they need an anchor to keep from floating off the plate, and a lemon chiffon cheesecake to die for...The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious enough for... This is our fifth year back at Mangrove Cay Club and we are planning to come back again next year. My wife and I love fly fishing, but we also like to combine it with excellent lodging and food and that is what Mangrove Cay Club provides. Liz and Alton Bain, the owners, are the consummate hosts. The guides are... More

I have spent several weeks at Mangrove Cay Club fishing , starting in the late 90's. Traditionally I use this as a winter break getting out of Virginia during February or March. First of all let me tell about the accomodations. The rooms are well sized all with twin queen beds, a sitting area and a large walk in shower.... More
