Our restaurant will pamper you with a diversity of dishes including exotic island specialities. Free WiFi in the restaurant. Kayaks, stand up boards, snorkel gear is free of charge for our guests. We offer also fishing trips, bone fishing in the nearby creek, Turtle watch tours in the creek and snorkel trips.

We had high expectations for our first trip to Shannas Cove, which was our first extended trip as a couple without our kids. We were looking for someplace tropical, secluded, and relaxed. That's exactly what we found on Cat Island. We had assumed the pictures of empty, beautiful beaches were stock images or carefully taken to show only the best of the area. We were wrong! The pictures don't even do the setting justice. It is truly an escape from everything in your own little slice of paradise. Gregor and Maria were gracious, friendly hosts. Our second visit was just as great as the first! Maria and Gregor are perfect hosts and so welcoming. We love being the only people on the beach at this small, intimate resort. The food is delicious. We've booked for next year and can't wait to return.

This was our second time at Shanna's Cove and sure won't be the last! The new owners have picked up right where the founders left off, and are obviously committed to keeping it the best place to visit anywhere in the world! The best part about staying here is exploring all the nearby deserted beaches, accessible by kayak or on foot. And of course the food was also first rate; every meal was absolutely amazing!

I waited about 30 years to get to this place and it did not disappoint. Cat Island is the place you go to forget about the hectic world and Shannas is one of the best places to do just that. Forget about everything except having a great time. You don’t even need to think about what to eat….. Maria and Gregor are the perfect hosts on this beach paradise. The food is first class everyday, breakfast with Tara everyday overlooking the water, dinner with Gregor, Maria and Shannas guests at night. Pizzas are really good and Maria will accommodate most special diet needs. The cottages are very comfortable and all overlook the amazing beach. Shannas Cove is a perfect place for a peaceful and serene holiday. The hotel is small (5 bungalows) so it is an intimate experience. It is a perfect hotel for guests who want to disconnect and unwind. Gregor and Maria are wonderful hosts - they treat you more like family than guests and go out of their way to make your stay memorable. The food was outstanding. Every dinner was memorable. The bungalows ae built on a hillside - it is a very short walk up the hill to the restaurant and down the hill to the beach.

Regardless where you stay on Cat Island, Shannas Cove is a must destination. It is a great place for lunch or dinner. Their pizzas are amazing. Greg and Maria and the staff are the most gracious and lovable folks. The views from the dining room are gorgeous!! Located on the far north end of the island, the drive is definitely worth it. Always enjoy my stops here!!

While enjoying the facilities we had the privilege of meeting out Bartender /waiter Brandon. He made our visit one of most enjoyable days we have had in years. He was great at his job. Also very entertaining and responsive to our needs and requests. I would recommend anyone visiting Shanna to ask for him and seek out his services. The hotel should be very grateful to have such a good employee.

Change your latitude to change your attitude. If you want to get AWAY Shannas Cove Resort is the place. NO planed activities , No music coming from the beach, No jet skis, No children :) Just an empty beach. with two additional private beaches around the corner and another just a hike away (Man o War). If you’re looking for white glove service this is not the place for you, and there's a reason that they are booked years in advance. Rooms are clean and neat, staff is attentive and friendly, The food is a real treat (not island style) your three course dinner is at 7 and is planed the night before based on what your needs are. This was my 7th time back to Shannas Cove, so it is obviously one of my favorite places and I have been to many islands. After having to cancel a couple of times because of Covid and almost being cancelled again due to a lockdown on Cat Island this trip was extra special. Shannas Cove was just what the doctor ordered – stress free, healing and rejuvenating. I was a little concerned when told the previous owners, Frank & Gabi sold to another couple as I could not imagine the resort being run by anyone more wonderful then the two of them but as soon as I met the new owners, Gregor & Maria, my concerns were quickly allayed. We just spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Shannas Cove Resort! New owners Greg and Maria are delightful. They are so gracious and friendly! Everyone is friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our stay! The bungalows are very comfortable and the view from ours was fantastic. The water is so beautiful and clear. And it was fun to adventure and explore! But if beautiful water, friendly people having fantastic beaches all to yourself wasn't enough the food was fantastic! Chef Fabian is an artist! I took pictures of every course which is something I never do. Every course was creative and I was amazed at how many things came from their own garden. I love to cook so I was really inspired! We are active so we walked all over both sides of the island as far as we could from the resort.…
