The German owners recently sold this wonderful resort to a couple from Germany as well. We are sure they will continue to keep this place a secret paradise!

My wife and I have a saying - we want to visit everywhere, and because of that we only have time to go somewhere once. Well Shanna’s will likely break that tradition. Everything about this vacation was superlative - from the incredibly rustic yet comfortable setting with beautiful beaches and pristine water to the elegant dining and phenomenal food to the exceptional service. Gabi, Frank, Fabian, Izzy, Garfield, Luna, Rufi and all of the staff made our trip so wonderful. They accommodated our every need and made us feel so welcome. A true gem! Thank you!

Gracious hosts, beautiful accommodations, unspoiled beauty and outstanding food. What more can we say. Loved it so much we booked for another week next winter. The staff were wonderful, the beach is pristine and the drinks are cold. This is a small, quiet place so if you are looking for night life or a party atmosphere this is not for you.

Just spent nine days with Frank and Gabe. Professionally run, super location, superb food every night. Unspoiled beaches, no crowds. Went snorkeling multiple times, rented a car to go beach combing on east shore. Weather perfect.

We had the pleasure of checking into Shanna’s Cove on the 24th December 2020 for a 9 day vacation and we were not disappointed. The hotel is beautifully kept, the staff extremely friendly, the hospitality was impeccable, and the local beaches are fantastic. There is a great 30min walk to a secluded beach along a jungle track that is a definite 'must do' for all guests. Frank and Gabby made our holiday extremely special, and the food cooked by the inhouse chef, Fabian, was out of this world. We do not have a bad word to say about Shanna’s Cove and we absolutely cannot wait for a return visit. Frank and Gabby are both extremely accommodating and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Overall an 11 out of 10 experience and we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for…

I would give Gabi and Frank 10 stars if I could! Shannas Cove is a treasure like no other. The views are unbelievable - it is untouched by people and development which is so hard to find these days. You will feel like family from the second you go to book with Gabi and Frank. They are so kind and welcoming. Frank organized our flight from Nassau to Cat Island seamlessly and took care of everything. At the resort - the beach is huge and you can walk for miles. Hardly anyone on it. They have everything you could want - chairs, kayaks, SUPs. The bungalows all have amazing views and are very private (Gabi and Frank designed it this way). The food was AMAZING and so was the service the entire week we were there. They were always checking to make sure we had everything we needed and…

This was our 2nd trip to Shanna’s Cove (the 1st was July 2012). This time we were able to share the awesome experience with another couple. We flew in our own plane to Arthur’s Town (10 minute drive back to Resort). During this crazy time with covid situation and all of the uncertainty and precautions...We weren’t sure if we could align all of the hoops to make it happen. But, as always it seems, Frank and Gabi were so on the ball and quick to check with the Govt of the Bahamas and the ever fast and daily changes in requirements and keep us informed (sometimes with 4 changes or new pieces of advice in one day). Anyway, we made it, had an awesome time, great company (Frank&Gabi, another couple we met, and the help) and great hospitality, great service from the wait staff and…

The first feeling you have when you reach Shanna’s Cove is a wonderful sense of isolation. At the north end of Cat Island and in a mostly undeveloped area, it is far removed from the rest of the world. We’ve stayed at a dozen or so islands in the Caribbean and we’ve never experienced as many butterflies and other wildlife as we did here. The second thing you will appreciate on the drive to the resort and once you arrive is the water's mesmerizing shades of blue. A feast for the eyes, it pairs perfectly with the flour-fine sand that comes in shades of bright white and subtle pink. The island and its sandy shores derive from limestone. Beautiful to look at, the sand is also quite comfortable to walk on. Even though our days there were sweltering, the sand remained pleasantly…

There’s not much to say that hasn’t already been said, but just to balance up the award plaques in the restaurant I thought I’d write a review, so Gabi and Frank can receive another much deserved accolade and hang it in the space between the others,,, . everything was stunning... the photos really don’t do it justice... the rooms, sea, restaurant, beach tranquillity were all much more than I was expecting... and I was expecting a lot! Can I just say to you all - please keep away... we were so lucky to get a reservation and the only guests who hadn’t visited a zillion times before. It was only because of a last minute cancellation that we managed to bag a room, so with all the interest generated by the fabulous reviews, we might not be so lucky next time!!! Desperately trying…

Our third visit to Shannas Cove- stayed in the Dolphin Villa which is slightly larger/brighter than the other four, but honestly every room here is gorgeous, well situated, private, clean, perfectly equipped. All have perfect breathtaking views. We took long walks in either direction, minding the tide charts, seldom seeing anyone else along the way. The crystalline water was perfect for swimming & kayaking. Gorgeous nature, unspoiled. Frank & Gabi helped arrange a boat trip with Captain Rod to see turtles and rays and a follow up snorkeling excursion. Perfect 3-4 hour diversion. This year we flew direct from Ft Lauderdale to Cat Island on Makers Air, highly recommend that. Frank made it easy by arranging transport from the airport to the resort. “No problem!” We loved our…
