We love the Clytha and have been back several times. The food is wonderful (Andrew is a fabulous cook). Normally the selection of ales and lagers has been fabulous as well, but not this time. Also, the room (we have stayed in all 3 over the years) was really dilapidated and dirty. It was also a real struggle to run...

I visited as a guest to a 60th birthday event. Decided to book a room as well. Thought the Clytha Arms as a venue was perfect. Beautiful quirky old hostelry. Lots of charm and great garden at the back to host the marquee. The tapas and buffet were excellent and so was the morning breakfast. Great and unusual choices. If...

Stopped here for a drink and to gain some local knowledge while staying at nearby Clytha castle. Group including patrons were friendly and accommodating. Drinks were cold. They have outside seating at picnic tables under umbrellas. These were welcome as the weather was brilliant the day we were there.

My husband and I came for Sunday Lunch on 4th October we went to the bar first advised we had booked for lunch but were a little early no issue and the very nice barman took us and our wine through to the restaurant. Our food order was taken quite quickly although they had no knowledge of the food that...

Arrived at this place , we chose it because it is dog friendly. I would hope other customers appreciated dogs as the owners doge seemed to be everywhere!! Very dirty entrance porch and the bar itself could be cleaner, the toilets were very unpleasant too. The whole place seemed neglected, I am old enough to remember this place as a...

My Husband and I were just passing by and decided to pop in for a quick drink, We had not been here for a few years, As we waited in the Bar to be served I was gobsmacked (the only word for it) when I saw they had Estrella Galicia on tap, I told my husband, he didn't believe me...

We visited here for a meal one evening so this review is only in relation to the food and service side of things, we cannot comment on the hotel facilities or experience. As far as the dining experience goes it’s ok if you don’t mind several dogs running around the restaurant while you are eating. The food was just about...

We stayed overnight to celebrate my wife's birthday. It gave us the opportunity to properly appreciate the fine restaurant and range of real ales. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to the room with the four poster, which is very large and plush, with all the luxury touches: bath robes & unguents, coffee maker and antique writing desk. We...
