Dinner as a birthday treat on a Saturday night, an early booking as my young granddaughter came too. The menu had a good choice, with hand cut chips on offer with several of the meals, so one of our choices was ham, egg and hand cut chips, so to be given frozen thin French fries was extremely disappointing to say...

We stayed in the area for a long weekend and after visiting the Hunters Moon on the first night ended up coming back each night! A really good country pub with very welcoming hosts and staff. Good beer and locally sourced food.

Without booking 6 of us walked into this beautiful country pub on our last evening in wales. Very welcoming staff, couldn't do enough for us. No complaints over the food, steaks all cooked to perfection. This was definitely the best food we had the whole week we were in wales. If we're ever up that way we would go out...

Well done guys, we bigged your roast beef up to the family and yet again you didn't disappoint! Lovely rare beef, amazing vegetables and proper crispy roast spuds, all topped off by Granny Beryls fab puds. Keep up the high standards( I'm sure you will).

We had a wonderful three night break at Hunters Moon. The owners made us feel very much at home and could not have made our stay more enjoyable. The food is amazing, all freshly cooked and seasonal with veg sourced from nearby organic farm. There are fantastic vegetarian options on the menu and as we were staying for three nights...

We were staying at the pub owners cottage, just a short walk away over a long weekend - so the pub was ideally located! The owners, staff and regulars are all very friendly and make you feel welcome. There is free wifi and nice outdoor areas (also very dog friendly!). We ate on a Saturday for lunch and also had...

I wanted to do an overnight cycle ride, a bit of me time without being badgered, so I did some searching for pubs, with rooms, near the Black Mountains and found the Hunters Moon which looked just the job. After catching the train to Hereford, National Cycle Route 46 will take you most of the way to this cosy little...

We chanced upon hunters moon while on our honeymoon and were so glad we did... Infact we spent our first and last nights here, lovely friendly atmosphere from the locals and the family who run the pub. Very pleasantly surprised with the quality of food as we were expecting standard pub grub and this is certainly a cut above. Great...

What a lovely place to stay! Several of the guide books don't put the end of your walking day in this little village...... but it's truly worth planning your walk around stopping here! I met people who said they wished they had, and I'm really glad I did! You'll get the warmest welcome here from one of the several generations...
