Made reservation a week before. Welcoming , professional, smart and knowledgeable staff. Superb starters and main courses, best roast beef we've had outside of home cooked, perfectly pink, tender and with crispy Yorkshire puds. Definitely recommend

Annual get together with the girls for lunch, this was our second visit after a lovely lunch last year and was meant to be part of a joint 38th and 40th birthday celebration this year. Sadly this visit didn't live up to expectations. To start with the restaurant dining area was exceptionally cold. And although they catered excellently for a...

We attended on valentines evening and as always at this time of year had slightly lower expectations due to the set menu and general busyness....but I have to say we were delighted from start to finish. Booking was seamless and the welcoming and attentive service was first class throughout and evening. The meal itself was wonderful, possibly the finest venison...

Just returned home from a 1 nights stay at this hotel owned and run under the Celtic manor resort. On arrival we were shown to our room, found it strange to be shown out of the door, across the car park to the accommodation!! The room was dated and filthy, we noted cobwebs across ceilings, under bath, in light fittings,...

The wife and myself spent a night at the hotel mid January. We went for the package deal of the over night stay and 3 course meal at the restaurant. After being shown to our room, which was lovely and rustic, the receptionist/manager offered us fresh milk and alternative tea as my wife is 6 months pregnant. We were told...

We had lunch for my 2yr old g/sons birthday, the set lunch had a good selection, for adults as well as the junior members who were with us. Although the food was delicious as always, it was to salty for my taste, this is my second visit and I found the food salty the last time. A little less salt...

Having been to the Celtic manor, my wife and I went for a Sunday afternoon drive and went to the newbridge on use. We weren't disappointed. From the moment we entered it felt warm and relaxed. The live music was excellent but not overwhelming. The wine was excellent and reasonably priced, although we didn't eat we will return for a...

Had great difficulty booking the restaurant for the 30th Dec.. Phoning you get routed to the Celtic Manor and it took 8 mins to reserve a table, however it was worth the trouble when we arrived. A warm welcome and drinks at the bar were served with some appetisers. 1 complaint no draught ale, bottles available but a pity that...

Myself and my partner came for a three course meal after Christmas. Staff were very friendly offered us. Drink at the bar for a short while then showed us to our table. The food was amazing ( I would recommend the filet steak) Will be returning.

Festive treat with impeccable service It is with apprehension that we visited given the other reviews but our expectations were indeed surpassed. We would not hesitate to book again. Staying in the four poster bed room which is rustic and breath taking in its deco especially the bathroom. Breakfast was a decadent affair with table service which made a welcomed...
