Visited Saturday lunchtime. The table d'hôte menu seemed good value at £12.95 for two courses and we weren't disappointed. We chose lamb shank, veal medallions and belly pork all of which were very well presented and good quality and accompanied by sauté or new potatoes with fresh vegetables. The restaurant has magnificent views over the River Usk and surrounding countryside....

Visited today for lunch after an absence of some six years and wondered if the menu and service were still as good as we remembered. No need to worry, if anything it was far better. We were given a table next to the window with fabulous views over the countryside and the river. The service was friendly and attentive, and...

This was our second visit to this lovely hotel, last time we stayed in November & I vowed then we would come back in the Summer & have a room with a balcony & that's exactly what we did! We stayed in June & the weather was lovely (which obviously enhances your visit) we sat on the balcony (which is...

LLanwenarth Hotel is a short distance west of Abergavenny on the A40, easy to find, in it's own setting and not in amongst the hubub of a town. The rooms are set in a separate building just across a pleasant courtyard. My room had a balcony with a very pleasing and relaxing view overlooking the river. Food and menu were...

I go to this establishment every so often with a group of friends. We are never disappointed. The choice of menu suits everyone and is regularly updated. The food is always of a high quality and excellent presentation! We have never had a bad meal since coming here. Excellent value, they have lunchtime special menus and in the evening early...

It's been quite a while since the last visit, which was in 2013 and we stayed on that visit. We were first in for lunch and asked the person behind the bar if we could get lunch. She walked through the length of the bar to the end which is in the restaurant, could then hear her say to someone...

Lovely place-the staff are friendly & very helpful & our room was clean & tidy. We had a room with a balcony so were able to enjoy the glorious view of the river. This is the second time we've stayed here but it certainly won't be our last. We had our Anniversary meal in the resturant & it was terrific,...

We spent a lovely early May bank holiday weekend in the Brecon Beacons and stayed at the hotel for one night. The location and the views were spectacular, the rooms were comfortable despite a few issues with the showers. Nonetheless, as we had originally booked two rooms for two nights, we had amended our booking to one night, well within...
