We stayed here for 1 night the room was very small and basic, paid £130 for B&B which I felt was over priced for what we got. Breakfast quality was poor . There is nothing else here in Dinnet so I suppose the hotel feels they don’t have to try as there’s no competition . Even although it’s peak season still pricey

The room was very clean but a bit on the small side. Although we paid extra for the dog we felt that the hotel was dog tolerant at best. Our waiter Craig was friendly and helpful with local knowledge on the other hand the owner seemed uptight and didn’t come across as very friendly. We had to put our dog in the car at meal times which wasn’t ideal there was no offer to be able to eat in the bar. We sat in the bar on one occasion I didn’t even take a sip of my drink when the owner asked if we would like to go out to the garden I don’t think he wanted the dog in the bar. Food was nice and service from staff good.

Small, well appointed hotel ideally situated for visiting the Cairngorm National Park. Clean and well decorated, our room was small but comfortable. Owners and staff efficient and very friendly. Dinners and breakfasts were superb. Lots of parking available. Large garden for relaxing. Within easy reach of the Dee and Don rivers, Nature Reserves and ski slopes. A series of walks available adjacent to the hotel to the Loch and local villages. The hotel is situated on a main road.

After months of enforced absence we were delighted to make a weekend visit to Dinnet this weekend. As always we were made extremely welcome by Andrew, Jenny and their staff who went overboard to try and make our visit as socially pleasant as possible within the current restrictions. Dinner for six of us on Saturday evening was absolutely lovely and a couple of oddball requests were dealt with exemplary professionalism. We look forward to returning ASAP. and would recommend it to those who would like a relaxing break on Deeside.
