We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We upgraded to Room 3 facing the Kyles of Bute and were glad that we had done so. The view is stunning and there is an air of peace and tranquility. Patricia is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. The room was cosy and comfortable. The bar...

We just dropped in here for a drink after leaving the ferry coming across from Bute. Never been at the hotel before but had been intrigued. The bar is tiny and a couple of what I assume were local people were sitting enjoying a pint and we sat at a table which we noticed was needed by 5:30. Thinking we...

Another visit to The Colintraive Hotel on WEdnesday and the food and welcome is still top class. Patricia and her team run a simply marvellous place - great food with the menu varied and using all local produce where possible. The signature dish is the linguini pescatore which is simply magnificent. I challenge anyone to taste a better one anywhere....

Not the first visit here so had a good idea what to expect. Once again excellent sea food- the seafood linguine and seafood platter particularly delicious! Pleasant attentive staff, lovely log fire, very comfortable - will definitely be returning!

We had a lovely evening meal with truly outstanding local seafood, the best carbonara my wife has ever had and great service, thank you for putting the fire on. (Breakfast is also...

I was visiting the area for a few days with work and needed to book all 4 rooms at the hotel. Patricia was extremely helpful and accommodating, particularly as we were hanging around on one of the mornings and out until around 7 on both evenings. The rooms were lovely and comfy and the food was excellent. We'll definitely be...

This is my second review of the Colintraive hotel, first was 5 star just like this one. We have just returned from our 2 stay here and I just adore the place. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Patricia and informed of our upgrade to the Attenborough room (room 2) and wow I fell in love, the view...
