We had a wonderful stay here. Our room was quiet and clean, very pleasant decor and all the usual amenities. The best one IMO, and the reason we chose this place, is that they are PET FRIENDLY! Being able to bring our dog is a game changer for us, and they have a nice little dog walking area in the front. Other non-pet observations: Nice comfy bed and big desk to spread out your laptop or whatever. Friendly people at the front desk. Great location and easy to drive to restaurants and shopping. It was off season and we were there mainly for golf, not the beach, BUT there’s a great shortcut to a small public parking area & beach access which we took advantage of when we weren’t playing golf. We look forward to staying here again!
We needed a room for 1 night during hurricane Nicole. Being that as it may, you expect a clean room. First thing we saw were dead cockroaches. Called and complained and was told they just sprayed. A little while later we were killing live ones. Called and complained and was told nothing could be done as maintenance had left for the night. We slept (somewhat) with the lights on and left when it was safe to return to our home. Checking out I put in a complaint and expect compensation. To be determined.
Candlewood Suites in Columbus, GA are very nice. The location to post is very convenient. Nyesh was very friendly smiling and courteous to us for check in. Definitely would recommend this hotel to stay
Room was spacious with full sized fridge which we loved. Comfortable beds with nice linens. Bath towels large and fluffy ( : Had room on top floor which was very quiet. Staff courteous and always asking if everything was ok or we needed anything. Loved the fact , also, that I could have my fur baby with me.
Amazing hotel with cool features and many amenities. The beds are super comfortable! I love that there are many different snacks and drinks to choose from. The service here is also quick and the wifi is amazing!
I am NOT one to complain. I can do shabby furnishings and interior. I can do less than friendly service. I can do few amenities. I realize I am not paying for a five star hotel. But I can NOT do bugs. We saw and killed 5 in the bathroom over the course of 2 days. If we were staying any longer, we would have left.
We stayed there for 6 nights and thought it was very good WRT price and value. Location was perfect for us. We had a top floor room on the back side so there was no noise. No daily made service but that was fine with us. We had a full ditched and the front desk was very accommodation when we needed anything. Thank you Kaylin, Natasha, Mickeisha and Robert for your smiles and fine service.
When we arrived our room was not clean. The bathroom had a horrible urine smell, the room was dingy and not inviting at all, even the grout lines were filthy on the floor tile. The bottom of the toilet had urine stains around it. We called to complain and the front desk clerk showed up with a dry mop that wasn't even installed on the handle correctly. He tried to explain to us how it was not his job, but house keeping's job (young 20 yr. old). My husband hand to explain to him what his responsibilities are as the front desk clerk and what is duties are to his guests. My husband also explained to him how unsanitary the conditions of the room and bathroom were. I asked the young man what did he plan on doing with the dry mop, he claimed he sprayed something on it. This was totally unacceptable!! We refused to stay at this location, we had the young man call his manager so that we can receive a full refund and stay elsewhere. Luckily we were able to find more suitable accommodations at the Hilton Garden. I will be checking my card to ensure our refund has been applied. I do not recommend this place at all, it says there have been renovations but I sure couldn't tell. Even the telephones are old, just a basic touch trim line house phone from the 80's, I haven't seen once of those in years!! Just pick up and dial 0. This hotel is extremely dated and needs a lot of work and upgrades. Please beware, this place does not have it together when is comes to disinfecting and cleaning and trying to protect guests against COVID, nor anything else for that matter. Very disappointing.…
Arrived and asked for the online rate as I was having trouble making the reservation on my phone. The lady at the desk was accommodating and booked us a room at the advertised rate. The elevator was out of service so we had to drag our bags up to the second floor but breakdowns happen. The room was fine it was updated but didn't feel clean. The table and other flat surfaces felt tacky when touched and there was a shampoo bottle cap on the bathroom floor between the toilet and sink so clearly deep covid cleaning was not happening in this hotel. I travel with cleaning supplies so we wiped down the counters, tables, chairs and heated up the dinner we picked up at a nearby supermarket. We managed with the meager utensils but certainly there is not enough cookware to actually cook anything. With few other hotel options in the immediate area, this place is fine for a night if you are just passing through, but I would recommend looking for something else for longer stays.…
THE WORST. Pictures seemed like the room was nice plus enhanced cleaning. Never heard of this place. But, FIRST, we get there and we’re advised that the ELEVATOR is broken BUT THEY ARE OFFERING CANCELLATIONS. I told the staff that it was close to 8pm and we’ll have to find somewhere last minute. I didn’t want to cancel before I found somewhere else which she said was fine. THEN, the room I booked was also unavailable but she’ll move me to the second floor so I didn’t have to walk flights of stairs as if that was a favor to me. I said if I can’t get anywhere else I have no choice but to stay. She said fine so I checked in with the understanding that I COULD STILL CANCEL if I found somewhere else. Found another room and went and told the staff who said Expedia would refund me and it was approved. I specially asked “if I was good” and they said “yes, just have Expedia call us and we’ll refund them so they can refund you “. The next day the RUDE MANAGER denied it to Expedia and said I checked out at 11:18am the next morning which was A LIE because I was on a catamaran by 10am. No refund because it was next day check out. So, who checked me out? No answer to that question but said her staff told her that I told them I found another room and went to get my bags but never came back down. Come back for what? I literally walked to my Jeep in front of them got in and my boyfriend but our bags on the car. UNBELIEVABLE and the manager has a NASTY ATTITUDE. The manager could not even get the room number straight. Also, said she had no control and I would have to talk to the general manager yet she acted as of she would refund me if her “investigation” finds that I didn’t check out the next day. So, I paid for that room and another room and had to wait to speak with someone else four days later. This is unacceptable! The screenshots are below between Ms. Nasty Manager and Expedia. THE PROPERTY: The staircase we walked up was stuck with FILTHY carpet. The staircase was located next to an exit, which leads out to the Gazebo, that is next to the back parking lot that is DARK and not well lit AT ALL. The exit next to the staircase which we had to take had no secured/key access entry which is an extreme safety issue with it being dark and unattended.…
