My daughter and I stayed here for a few days to escape the bitter New England winter. The hotel is fairly new, very modern, and incredibly clean. The location was prime for walking around. We didn't go to the public beach at all so I can't comment on that service, but we did walk to the outlet mall, and shops/restaurants around the area. Overall, it was great and we hope to be back in the future!

This newer property is located in a quite right part of the area plus only a block away from the beach. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted, bonus, we were able to check in early. The hotel has a spacious and comfortable lobby area with tasteful beach decor. The room had the same beach feel, loved it! What this hotel does for its guests is very nice and appreciated. Complimentary beach golf cart shuttle to the Norwood beach access, a beach shower to rinse off all the sand on the side of the building and the staff will even store all that beach gear in secure storage space! On-site there also is a restaurant, outdoor pool and gym. This was our first visit to the area and we can’t wait to return!

I think this was a good HGI! It seemed relatively new and the location was great. I think it's odd that people post negative reviews saying the hotel is not right on the beach. They don't claim to be. If you wanted a hotel right on the beach, then why didn't you pay for and stay at a hotel on the beach? This hotel is close to the beach on Scenic Gulf Dr., which is the closest main road to the beach in Miramar. It has closer beach access to many of the properties in the Sandestin resort area. This is also close to the outlet shops, but "outlet" stores are not really outlets anymore and are the same thing as any other store. It is also close to the Sandestin resort areas like Baytowne and the Grand shopping. This hotel was close enough for me. They apparently have a beach shuttle, but I did not use it. There is a bike path that goes along the entirety of scenic gulf drive that one can walk on to get quick access to the beach. I enjoyed biking down the path, other than it was a little crowded at times, even being winter. The room was great, and even though the balcony view did not offer a view of the ocean, the sunrise and sunset views were still beautiful. My balcony was over the pool and the palm trees in front of the pool. I did use the hotel breakfast; I assume it was the standard HGI breakfast situation, but I am not completely sure. My room was also larger than a standard hotel room I would say. I appreciated the extra room. There was also a lot of storage in the room. The hotel is more in Miramar Beach, not Destin, but it is close to Destin as well. I actually liked that it was in Miramar, as Miramar is classier and better than Destin in my opinion.…

I utilized the app for reservation, online checkin and check out. That is handy. The property was clean. The room was very clean and comfortable. I found the design and layout of the room to be one of the most functional rooms I’ve stayed in. I was Gulfside and got a great sunset view. No problems whatsoever during the 1 day stay.

TERRIBLE, they said they had transportation to the beach ( golf cart) it was out of service. You could not order Breakfast they weren't serving it, you could even buy it. The maid kept opening the door before we got check out, (I was still in bed). The people at the front desk were rude act like we imposing on them. We ask to speak to general manager & they said he was not available. This is just a little of why I would never, never stay there again. We were supposed to be there a week we stayed one night.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, we were new to the area so we really weren’t sure where to book. The room was very nice and clean! The location for us was good but the walk to the beach would take sometime esp if you had a lot of beach stuff to bring with you! They do offer a golf cart service to the beach (tipping is suggested) we didn’t use that service but it would definitely be helpful! Overall the room was nice! The shower did leak but that’s not anything too bad!

Hilton Garden Inn Destin Miramar Beach was average. Pros: It was clean and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Cons: Breakfast was average but not worth the price. Some of our room outlets did not work. They advertise having a business center but it was not there, they said they had a shuttle to the beach but it was not running. (We found a way to get to the beach without the shuttle which was only a 5 minute walk but that’s not the point. Why advertise something but not have it?) In all we had a great vacation however our hotel experience could of been better. Also, we did not rent a car. We thought that there would be a lot of Lyfts or Ubers. We were so wrong! Next time we will just rent a car. We visited mid August. We will be going back to Destin, FL but not back to this hotel.…

Thank you for the valuable feedback! I am surprised to hear that the shuttle was not in service! It runs 10am-4pm daily! We did have an axle break on the front right tire a few weekends ago so I am not sure if that was the weekend you were here! I do apologize, we got it back up and running as soon as a mechanic could get to it! Please also let us know which room you were in so we can check out the outlets! If you are wanting to go to the beach and you do not have small children go to another Hilton this one is more geared toward people that have small children the pool is very small and you are a good block from the beach

Between the staff being superb, the rooms being spacious, clean, and comfortable, and then amenities such as the restaurant being delicious- it was a 10/10 stay. They also have a fun golf cart that will take you directly to the beach which is a 1 minute ride away.

Location is excellent , just a block away from a wonderful beach. Its a newish property with great potential but a couple of issues gave us a somewhat negative impression. Firstly, the room smelled quite strongly of dog and as non dog owners we found this difficult to cope with even after cleaning spray. Don't put non dog people into rooms that have been occupied by dogs. Secondly, the hotel does not offer continental breakfast, its cooked or nothing. Very disappointing. Thirdly we had a charge issue at checkout which required a manager to resolve in our favour. Appreciate that it was resolved but should not have happened and could have been better dealt with.
