I'm siting here in the luxurious Eagles crag, one of 3 properties on the Highland estate of Alladale. We are sadly coming to the end of our week here. Alladale estate is billed as a get away from it all type of holiday. The cottages are superbly equipped and have everything one would need for a total escape. Large tv...

We stayed at Alladale Wilderness Lodge 2 weeks ago for family wedding. From the moment of crossing the gate, we were absolutely in love with the place. Long drive to the lodge was so picturesque. The lodge itself was fantastic for large family get-togethers. Our room had breathtaking view, the bed was huge and ever so comfortable. All staff was...

We stayed in a small house called Ghillie's Rest. It's set in a picturesque valley and is only one of three properties on this thousand-acre-plus reserve. Ghillie's boasts a trout stream out its backyard, a waterfall across the street and a nature hike to Loch na Pollach in a few hours on foot. For the same price as a city...

Just returned from a week at this great location in a beautiful cottage (Ghillies Rest). The estate staff were all so friendly and special mentions are deserved for Innes, Valerie, Ryan and Ronnie. The estate has 5 glens and the most Northern remnants of the Caledonian pine forest, some of the scott's pines are over 400 years old. The investment...

We honestly feel privileged to have stayed here at Alladale Wilderness Lodge. It's a quiet, vast space in the Highlands. Expertly managed by the team. We met with Valerie, Innes and Ryan and we can't thank them enough for making our brief stay here the most wonderful family holiday we've had. There's no reward great enough for the team here....

Alladale Lodge is situated in a greater wilderness reserve, the brainchild of Environmentalist Paul Lister who's efforts at restoring the forests of Europe can be seen here in abundance. Nearly a million trees planted in the last ten years, the aim is to recreate part of the Great Forest of Caledon and afford visitors an insight into what Scotland looked...

Alladale Reserve-great, quiet, vast expanse of very private wilderness in the northern highlands. 2 vast glens, some terrific hills to climb, beautiful river, 250-450 year old (ancient by UK standards!) trees, rivers, streams, lots of deer, stags, highland cows, salmon jumping the waterfall. Even saw a golden eagle! We went of the 4x4 safari with Ryan and Ronnie. They were...

We spent three nights at Alladale in one of their cottages. It was a truly fantastic experience - the landscape is breathtaking and it is one of the wildest remotest places I have been. We went walking, fly fishing and saw salmon jumping up waterfalls to spawn and were guided by a fantastic ranger, Ronnie. There were a few niggles...

We spent a short (but very sweet) couple of nights at Ghillies Rest and loved it - how could we not with that amazing scenery? The cottage itself is really comfortable and sitting by the woodburner or at the dining table with a glass of wine looking at the view is something I won't forget in a hurry. We didn't...

Stayed at the eagles crag on the wilderness reserve, the accommodation was very modern and clean with a host of mod cons and hi tech gadgets. The scenery throughout the reserve was spectacular with glorious glens and flowing rivers. Lots of wildlife to see and interact with on the reserve and lots of nice walks to go on. The staff...
