Without doubt this is the best run hotel that I have been in. Clean, friendly staff, great food, beautiful village and wonderful area. Do I need to say any more. Hotel and catering courses at colleges should send theIr pupils here to see how to run a hotel.

We stayed 3 nights at this friendly small hotel. The lounge areas were very comfortable and we found all the stuff to be cheerful and welcoming. Dirleton is a delightful, well kept village and the nearby coastal walks are bracing.

Popped in for Sunday lunch on 30/4, busy but they managed to fit us in with a table for two. Brilliant choice, fantastic value and really nice staff. Just couldn't be bettered. Try the steak, ale & black pudding pie - wonderful.

Dropped in when passing, having not been in for years. Splendid early dinner, with friendly service and great food. Fish particularly good, and a two course offer before 7pm made it all excellent value. Will return.

Stayed overnight on special spring bed and breakfast plus dinner rate and had a super stay. Comfy room, friendly staff and really excellent food both evening and breakfast. This area has lots of attractions which gives plenty to do. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a good, comfortable base.

We were visiting North Berwick and having passed this place before decided to book for a meal. Really good food and great value. We had lamb and fish which were cooked to perfection. Staff were attentive. The hotel was clean and well furnished. Would go back.
