Very good seafood options on the menu - we can recommend the monkfish and the seafood panache. Service was friendly and attentive. The dining room was traditional - perhaps dated, but a nice atmosphere. We would certainly go back

On a trip from North to South via family, we popped in looking for some food, the young lady who helped us was professional, charming and helpful and the food was fantastic xx. I had the home made soup with vast quantities of tattie and then the Haddock Mornay. My better half had large quantities of smoked salmon and shell...

We found the Mayview a comfey hotel with pleasant staff and good food. The rooms were comfey and clean and the staff very helpful. Did not know what to expect of the food and were nicely surprised at how good it was; nicely cooked with decent portions - the smoked mussels are worth mentioning as they were delicious. The menu...

ordered the mussels for lunch, not only was the portion extremely small for £6.00, they were over MICROWAVED . when I made a complaint, expecting some sort of reduction in the bill, I was told oh they are local and we cook them like that - not exactly explaining why they were overcooked. I did not receive anything off the...
