Although it’s not a fancy or posh hotel for Harbor Island, we really loved it. For us it was fabulous! It’s excellent value for money compared to how expensive everything else is in Harbor Island. We also loved the local Bahamian owners and staff, we loved the way the chickens run loose around the place, and the informality of this hotel. We were upgraded upon arrival to one of their better rooms which was very nicely decorated in floaty white, clean and the ensuite bathroom always had plenty of hot water, we also had a a little fridge and microwave. I do not know if the other rooms are as attractively decorated because I did not see them. The rooms are bungalows and nestled amongst coconut trees and gorgeous lush vegetation. We found the hotel restaurant to be great value for money. I had a wonderful tasty toasted grouper sandwich. The menu is Bahamian typical foods such as conch fritters etc. we rented our golf buggies from the hotel and also booked a fantastic half day guided tour of North Eleuthera with Ferguson who is a taxi driver/guide and knows Juanita, the Owner of the hotel. This was truly memorable and worth every penny. If you want an authentic island stay with great local friendly hosts at a reasonable price with a central location and don’t mind some of the quirks of the place, then this is the place to stay!

A quaint older resort that my wife and I love. Mostly cabins. Great food. No pool, but who needs a pool at Harbour Island? Each room comes with a golf cart and gas and the very, very nearby beaches are incredible!!!

SO…we got stranded at the airport due to a cancelled flight at 9pm at night. Eleuthera is a tiny island where everything ends pretty early and we were terrified as we were traveling with our 3 children, youngest is 6. The nicest man Harrison who was in a taxi (we just blindly got in a taxi because we didn’t know what else to do) made a call and thank goodness Tingum had a room because of a cancellation. We literally walked into Paradise. Everyone was so welcoming, and they opened the kitchen to make sure we had dinner as we hadn’t eaten since breakfast. The grounds and room were so beautiful and the people so nice. They turned what was a terrible situation into a fun evening where we got to stay in a beautiful place and meet beautiful people. We are literally planning our next trip back to stay there as we drive home. To the Percentie Family and staff and friends who were there last night, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!! ❤️

The vibe is immaculate. The woman that runs the hotel is the nicest person on the island. She is so nice and seems like so much fun. Ms. Juanita gave us recommendations and fun things to do while we stayed with them. I really enjoyed my time there and will definitely go back. If you get a chance to meet Ms. Karuna, she's awesome. I will definitely be coming back one time in my life. The restaurant is also quite good. MUST GO SEE PINK SAND.

We loved our stay at Tingum Village where Juanita and staff created a welcoming place to stay, eat and drink. Of our 10 days on Harbor Island, this is where we felt most connected to the local people. We didn't feel like tourists here. They performed a lot of extras for us like upgrading our room and picking us up from the boat dock when we first landed. We spoke to the chef and got to know him a bit and Juanita was a pleasure to talk to and get to know. I would venture to say, this is one of the more authentic places to stay on Harbor Island and well worth a visit.

Thank you to Juanita and all your staff and relations! I chose this hotel as it is run by a local family and I thought I would get good recommendations for activities and food. Juanita and her team looked after me like a member of her family. I went horse riding (twice) on her uncle's horses; had a perfect boat trip with her nephew, Darren. Hannah made fab Painkiller cocktails. Michael made great breakfasts and dinners. Juanita introduced me to other guests and visitors. I am only sad that I had to say goodbye!

We honeymooned on Harbour Island and came back 50 years later and found the Tingum Village Hotel run by Juanita A. Percentie, a true sweetheart!!! Why is this place unique? Picture walking into the restaurant where you knock on the kitchen door and the cook comes out to tell you what's on the menu for that meal, take your pick and be seated while your meal is being cooked! Guaranteed delicious! Pool, what pool, the gorgeous ocean beach is only 3 blocks away and for an extra $50 a day you can get a golf cart, including your gas!!! Housekeeping is excellent...oh, and the bar is usually open 24 hours a day. Honor system if no bartender is present...when's the last time you ever saw that? Rooms are air conditioned Dining room and bar are shaded open air. Oh, and the hotel is right next door to a legit massage parlor. Kitchenettes available in at least some of the rooms. And only 7 blocks from the main part of town!!! The Tingum Village Hotel is hard to beat no matter what, and Juanita Percentie, General Manager and Part Owner is a true sweetheart! We love her to death!!!. Juanita, we'll be back soon!!!

We stayed 4 nights at this nice little hotel. It is run by lovely Juanita, who is very warm and kind. She set us up with a golf cart and off we went to explore this tiny little island. The room had comfortable beds and a continental breakfast with fruit and a choice of toast or bagel served by Michael. The girls that work at the place were all very nice too. The common areas have coconut palm trees and lush vegetation with hammocks to hang out. It is a simple place, but very accommodating. Do not expect luxuries. They had a lovely mirror with sea shells in the bathroom and handmade artisanal straw work over the bed. It is reasonable priced for this very expensive island. They helped us with a few issues we had during our stay, which says a lot about them. I liked the seashell keychain of the room so much that Juanita gave it to me as a souvenir!!! I will always remember that!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

My mother, Deborah, and I just returned from our first visit to Harbor Island, where we were fortunate enough to stay at Tingum Village Hotel. Ms. Juanita could not have been kinder and went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The staff are all wonderfully kind, the food at Ma Ruby’s is excellent, the setting is beautiful, and the location is great, with easy walkability to the (gorgeous!!) beach and downtown areas. The homage paid to the late matriarch, Ma Ruby, is so touching, and the efforts to run this family-owned business are clearly a work of heart. We are so grateful to have found this gem in paradise and cannot wait to return!
