I was in search of splendor and solitude and scrumptious food - the accommodations at The Rock House did not disappoint! Firstly this iconic hotel has a rich and storied history. The current owners and managing owners Henry and Teynarae and superb. I stayed in the Rock House Villa. The villa was beautifully decorated by the exceptional interior decorator Trish Becker. From the kitchen to the master bedroom to the upstairs terrace and three bedrooms, it was inviting and no detail unnoticed. I loved the Molton Brown toiletries, the Matouk linens and towels - everything was pristine.
Now the restaurant… Where do I begin… from the lobster to the amazingly delicates season boiled fish soup! Simply perfection.
I would highly recommend staying here / dining here - particularly in the newly renovated villa. An incredible stay and experience, with top notch staff. Thank you to the Rock House team!

My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary at the Rock House, splurging with a full week’s stay. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. Everyone from Romanda at the front desk to Suzanne who made sure every single need was met at the beach and pool and even the smiling housekeepers who made sure our room was spotless, they ALL made this a trip of a lifetime. The rooms are incredible with quality in every detail. The sheets are amazing. The mattress was perfect. (We’ve never slept so good on a vacation.) And the amenities! We are now obsessed with Molton Brown toiletries. We’re going to be buying them just to remind us of our trip to Rock House. But there’s more!! We arrived to a chilled bottle of champagne and a hand written card for our anniversary AND on the actual day, they had the gardener cut us a fresh bouquet of flowers straight from the lush grounds themselves. A side note. Along with the flowers they brought me some fresh cut aloe because they noticed I had a sunburn. At our dinner that night, they decorated our table with sparkle dots and ended the amazing meal with a dessert complete with a huge sparkler. The view at Rock House is without question one of the best spots on the island. Several mornings we took advantage of the continental breakfast, served at any table you desire. Cloth napkins, beautiful dishes, and rich robust coffee, homemade muffins, various fresh fruits and juice. The thing that really made the biggest impression was the daily housekeeping and nightly turn down service. Who does that anymore!! Oh and towels! The thickest towels we’ve ever had at any hotel. plus robes and slippers of course. All in all if we could give Rock House six stars it would be well deserved. Henry, the owner, was a delight but rather busy caring for his wife who gave birth to a baby boy the day after we arrived. He’s a first class gentleman and runs this place with excellence. We obviously would recommend the Rock House to anyone who wants to get some rest, relaxation, and be spoiled every single minute. You add to this the pink sand beaches…yes it’s true, the fun of beebopping all over the island with a golf cart, definitely worth it, and the nightly dinners available all over the island, you simply MUST experience Harbour Island but only if you stay at the Rock House. This is truly a special place. A charming Bahamian traditional house with incredible bay views, this boutique hotel has it all. Genuine, attentive and great staff making everything possible for a special stay. We stayed at the plumeria room, much more spacious than the pictures, with views of the bay. The bar and restaurant has a great vibe and energy and most probably the best food and cocktails in the island. The pinks sands is a 5min walk with dedicated chairs and umbrellas for hotel guests and Susie Q is the best in taking care of everyone. This is a unique spot and for sure we’ll come back!

Henry and his team at the Rock House are terrific. They provide a gracious and enjoyable experience for their guests. They make you feel incredibly welcome, as if you are invited to stay in their home, which in many ways is the point. They raise the bar for hospitality not just for Bahamas resorts, but for any get-away vacation.
The setting, the dining and the staff are all first-rate Thank you for making my time there so enjoyable. I will definitely return.
P.S. Please do not use Silver Air to fly to the Eleuthera. That was my one mistake.

We have just completed a fantastic 5 night vacation at The Rock House hotel. Everything about our stay was fantastic from the location and design of the building and rooms to the private area on pink sands beach plus all the really friendly staff and the great food and drink made it a really memorable stay. I would defiantly recommend Rock House to both stay and have dinner sitting under the stars around the lovely swimming pool. We will miss everything about Rock House and Harbour Island when back in the cold and wet UK. Also a big thank you to Henry (manager) who looked after us so well both before and during our visit.

Great hospitality. We used to come as a couple before having kids and now we brought our two sons (new owners now allow kids) and we all enjoyed the hospitality. It's a short golf cart ride from the beach and you have great views from the lobby of the harbor.

The inn was wonderful. The staff were attentive and truly care about their guests. We wanted to stay at The Dunmore but it was booked and we are thankful looking back on it. Nicki was incredible - she booked our dinner reservations and out best meal was at The Rock House for dinner. (Our best lunches were at Runaway Hill and Sip Sip.) The hotel provides beach bags and Susannah was at the beach helping us with drinks and general information about the island and tips. A continental breakfast is provided and you may order extras items for an additional charge at breakfast. I can't say enough good things about the inn and the service we received. I look forward to returning with my husband soon. Have Nicki order a golf cart for you - you will want one.

Just returned from our 3rd stay (5 nights) and nothing disappoints. Rooms are comfortable, well-equipped, with nice amenities. Turn down service at night too. Staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful. Most of the people are long term employees. We prefer being in town and it's a few minutes by golf cart to the beach where there is an attendant for whatever you want. You just grab a beach bag on the way out for towels, water etc.
We've eaten in all the restos and still prefer Rock House. The bar and dining area are candlelit at night and there is a panoramic view of the harbour. There are always a few creative items added to their menu.
You can probably pay a lot more at resort type places but we love the intimacy and the location - and the staff. And there are always fun and interesting people at the bar every night.
Breakfast is included and always fresh fruit and baked things. All you need to do is make your own coffee.
We think this place is a real gem!

For a first time stay at the hotel I was taken by the cozy, comfortable yet chic sense of island charm that the property exudes. The Rock House Hotel is more like a healing grounds where from the moment you enter the property you feel a sense of wellness and wonderment awaits. The cozy front courtyard is a welcoming oasis to take in the harbor views and sunsets of the island. The staff are so warm and gracious. The dining quarters lets you know you’re settling into your home away from home. The art and the decor spews of sophistication and style. Walking through the pool courtyard is a calming experience that demands stillness to connect with the natural green spaces. Once you’ve entered any of the rooms and suites you know you’re home. I stayed in The Royal Poinciana Suite and was taken aback by how welcoming it felt! I loved it! What was even better was the scented pillows and the comfort of the beds… an invitation to relax, rest and reset in island royalty. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer. I’ll be back!

Our beach chairs and umbrellas are included in the room price. You'll be able to lounge in the sun in our reserved section of the beach while being taken care of by Suzanne. She's an amazing MVP on our team!

You also have charging privileges at our private beach area which is located infront of the beach restaurant "Sip Sip". We have Suzanne, our beach attendant who will order, pickup and bring you amazing cocktails on the beach.

Thank you for considering The Rock House on beautiful Harbour Island. We are located on the bay side , but we do have a area with chairs, umbrellas and tables dedicated to Rock House guest. Our beach set up is located at the bottom of Sip Sip. Hopefully this answers your question.
