The village of Rosewell has very little to recommend it - but Orchard House is surely its shining jewel! A stunning B&B inside a former walled garden, not only is the setting beautiful and peaceful, the welcome from Anne was second to none, as were the room and the breakfast. We especially appreciated their environmental policies. I can't wait to...

Best Bed and Breakfast experience ever! Absolutely marvelous breakfast (especially the grapefruit salad!), quiet and nice surroundings with a cute garden for the guests. Anne was a little bit surprised by our unexpected visit, but she had a room for us to stay which was absolutely clean, cosy and huge. Thanks for all your support, especially the piece of advice...

Having stayed in countless B&Bs over the years, this one is without doubt one of the very best. The grounds are beautiful, the location superb and very peaceful, yet close enough to Edinburgh to pop in for a day trip. The hosts - Anne and Angus were fantastic - very kind and welcoming and literally nothing was too much trouble....

We have now stayed at Orchard House on 3 occasions. The standard of cleanliness, service and catering is consistently excellent. The House is in a peaceful and restfull location. A well run establishment, high standards and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

I have visited Orchard House twice. The first time I went by myself for business and stayed for a week. The house is amazing, the rooms are very spacious, with all the modern commodities and very clean. The setting is just perfect and within easy reach of Edinburgh city center.Anne and her husband run the B&B and they are extremely...

I spent one night at Anne and Archie's lovely home just 10 minutes south of Roslin and very convenient to Edinburgh. Their home and gardens are lovely, and their hospitality was the best. I was welcomed with tea and biscuits and a lively and welcoming chat with Anne. The amenities in my room were lovely....beautiful linens and furniture and art...

Orchard House was the perfect B & B, and Anne was the perfect host! The room itself was beautiful...contemporary/classic furnishings, very tastefully done, and immaculately clean...as was the rest of the house that we saw. Anne was a fantastic host, very friendly and helpful, and she cooked a wonderful breakfast too. I honestly have nothing but praise for all aspects...

After the long drive up from Pickering (Yorkshire), including driving the length of Hadrian's wall, we were warmly welcomed to Orchard House by Anne, who treated us like family, despite us being from the other side of the world. We had wanted to stay "out of town", yet convenient to Edinburgh and the selection of Orchard House proved to be...

Possibly the best B&B I've ever stayed in. The house is beautiful and surrounded by lovely peaceful gardens -there were even bunnies on the lawn. Rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were fantastic. I'd have liked to have taken ours home! There was a lovely lounge for guests to use and breakfast was as good as you'd get anywhere and...
