The pub and eating areas are lovely and the food was good although we ordered a 10oz gammon meal where the gammon was like a thick piece of bacon. We questioned this and got told " the chef says that's how they come". This was the least of our...

We've been here for Christmas Day lunch quite a few times now, and I think food-wise, this year was probably the best (last year was dreadful - 'homemade' soup with lumps of powder in it). Been to Dusty Miller many times and have always enjoyed the food and real ale. This time we decided to attend as there was a soul group on and enjoyed the music . The group were very entertaining. It was also nice to have a dance. The real ale was also excellent. We will be back.

Looking at previous reviews I was prepared to stay over however I was disappointed. The rooms were cold with evidence of damp and smelt musty and unclean. I couldn't wait to get out. Needs some attention.

Our 2nd visit and loved it. Friendly, helpful staff and lovely carvery for 4. This time 3 of the group couldn't resist the sweets. Tasty lemon meringue with cream or ice cream. Will definitely be returning to enjoy another meal.
