This place is nicer than the photos suggest: up an unpaved road, on a hill, with lovely grounds and views. The food is traditional French and really, really good. The loudest thing were the frogs in the pond below.

When arriving at this property we were delighted. A wonderful place, very well maintained and clean. The outside sitting and pool area were excellent well screened with wonderful foliage. Our room was excellent as were those for the rest of our family. The only downside was having to pay with cash otherwise we can well recommend this accomodation. family. Only...

We booked to stay in one of the Gites (Lavande) with our 2 young daughters (aged 8 and 6). The accommodation was so comfortable and really felt like home from the minute we stepped in. On the night we arrived, we had dinner in the main building with the other guests and we were so impressed with the meal, the...

We stayed here for a week "to relax" after long trips across France. The Gite is great for a small family but a bit lacking in privacy for three adults and only one bathroom which you need to go thru one of the bedrooms to get to. Otherwise perfect to see the Dordogne & Lot region. Nice pool area and...

My family has now had the pleasure of staying in the Gite Lavande at La Gueriniere twice. After a wonderful time in 2008 I booked again for this June 2015 hoping that it would be as pleasant as we all remembered as this time I was bringing my parents too. Well I was delighted that the place was just as...

What a great find in a fantastic area of France so close to key sights in the Dordogne. The kids loved the pool. The garden is lush and very well kept. It very much feels like being at home with a great nights sleep and breakfast. Very kind owners / manager. Recommended.

We have stayed at this B&B on both of our trips to the south of France over the last 3 years. We love this area of France, and the location is an excellent base for seeing the area, I recommend a hot air balloon ride over the Dordogne - Lionel Druet [montgolfierechateaux@gmail.com]. We especially loved the dinners served - the...

A fantastic little gem of a place, hidden away south of Cenac. It's quiet and relaxing - a superb place to recharge the batteries. Evening meals were delicious examples of French cuisine (just don't eat much during the day if you're eating at La Gueriniere in the evening !) Breakfast is just as good. We had hire-bikes delivered to the...

First off, I'd like to say what an excellent location it is. The long drive up to the house on the hill, is superb. Also the swimming pool is great. We stayed for a week in the Lavender Cottage and gradually discovered the problems behind the charming exterior. These are, in no particular order: 1. The kettle didn't work unless...

We stayed 2 nights and had dinner the first night of our visit. La Gueriniere is one of the loveliest B&B's we have stayed at in 24 years of frequent trips to Europe. It is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and in a lovely garden setting. The evening meal was amazing. First class cuisine in every aspect. Breakfast was also delicious...
