We may have reviewed this B&B before, but we made certain to go back for 2 nights on our tour of France (just over), and I have to tell you that my husband arrived ill. The lovely sisters, Claude and Renee, made a special soup for him (and did not complain that he could not eat the dinner already prepared),...

We loved our stay with Claude and Renee in their beautiful historic home that had, centuries ago housed monks from the adjacent monastery. Claude and Renee are charmingly kind and generous hostesses. The meal we shared with them was a delight as they patiently encouraged our French conversation and shared beautiful dishes, cheeses and knowledge of the local history and...

After an overnight flight from South Africa to Toulouse via Paris, a long wait at the car rental office and a drive in searing heat (35 centigrade), we arrived at Villelongue Côté Jardins somewhat tired and ratty, to a warm and gracious welcome from Claude and her daughter. Our tiredness evaporated on entering our spotlessly clean, large and traditionally furnished...

We first stayed at Villelongr Cote Jardins in 2006 and returned in 2015 for the fourth time because we love it so much. It is always a highlight for us. This year we made an extra effort to get there because we love the area and visiting the sisters Claude and Renee. They are always gracious, helpful, charming and know...

My husband and I spend 1.5 months travelling by car through southern France and Tuscany Italy visiting are top picks from Sawdays "Go Slow" B & B books. We stayed at some wonderful places but Villelongue Cote Jardins was by far our favourite - so much so that we travelled 12 hours in one day just to stay an extra...

Maybe due to our poor French, we had a bit of a strange 'welcome' but all was quickly sorted and we were shown to a very nice, very large, upstairs room with lovely antique furniture, plush carpets - very nice. It just lacked decent lighting. The room faced the street but was not noisy as the road is very seldom...

Not I suspect a place for everyone but, for those who like what it has to offer, it is indeed lovely and unusual. First the lovely: huge rooms - and I mean huge. Mine had a vast “double” bed, large on suite bathroom and enough space for a squash court to not be out of place in the far corner....

We loved staying here in such a tranquil location and were sorry to leave. Claude and Renee are lovely, warm, friendly hosts and made good recommendations for trips. We liked our very spacious room and very comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our meals with plenty of wine and good conversation and trying to speak French, with our hosts (we also...

We have been twice now and will soon be visiting for a third time. Such a lovely place and lovely hosts. We can't visit France without coming back. I cannot think of a nicer place to stay. Exceptional.

“Ground floor room was great as we had a lot of luggage. Although it faced the road, there was no traffic, so it was blissfully quiet.”
