Great little hotel, right next to the canal, next to restaurants and cafes and the boat trips around the waterways. Really nice Italian guy at reception, good breakfast, I imagine it'll be busy in season ( we were there during covid) very weak wifi in room 18, but really not a problem.
Hôtel au marais is very conveniently situated in the heart of the village and on the banks of the river. It is quiet, the room bright and spotless we had a family room on the second floor with views over the river and slept very well. The breakfast is lovely with a selection of pastries, home made cakes but also cheese and savoury spread. The new owners are very friendly and helpful. A good place to stay in Coulon.
This is a small riverside hotel in the village of Coulon. It’s in a great location with small bars and restaurants just a few yards away. Our room was beautiful with a small balcony looking out at the river. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Nice breakfast in room across the street. Good wi-fi in all areas.
If you want a great hotel listen up!!! (Ok)Very Good for family visits. Comfortable beds to sleep on and high quality bathroom with superb shower. Wonderful location and great service. Five stars. 😃*****
Hotel au Marais has it all - an idyllic position on the canal, superb multi-lingual hosts Paolo and Natalie, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, great showers with plenty of water pressure and almost instant hot water, breakfast that includes home-made yoghurt (head for the meat and cheese container and grab a little pot of it) and cakes and espresso among other things. I cannot think of a single reason why anyone would not want to stay here. Unless it's booked out, in which case you'll have to return to Coulon another time just to relax in the welcoming embrace of this hotel.
