From the moment we arrived We were greeted by the kind reception welcome desk with refreshing drinks and assigned a beautiful spotless room with a hammock in our balcony facing the pool area. The beach is about one block walking distance good for walking- If you want beautiful swimming beaches , the hotel will call a taxi for you and 10 minutes away is Santa Cruz where you hire a boat and enjoy the amazing bahias- some beaches felt private because it was just the two of us- Loved loved the restaurant for the delicious food and service! Top Notch!!

I highly recommend the hotel and restaurant.

PS! I loved not having a TV in the room and enjoyed the downstairs living area with TV by the pool.

Absolutely loved it!!

Modern, with a boho flair. Clean, stylish and the amenities are top-notch (Actually everything is).
Much attention to detail such as your very own bug spray, hand sanitizer…

The restaurant is honestly one of the best I’ve been to recently. We opted for the prepayed breakfast, and we did not go wrong. It was just hard choosing one thing because it was all delicious.

The entire staff, I worked particularly with Melina who I must mention was a pleasure, made everything so easy,. Everyone was incredibly kind and super responsive. The rooms are so cozy and beautiful!! Parking was covered, gated and on-site.

I highly recommend this hotel and definitely look forward to returning. I consider myself a bit picky when it comes to hotel accommodations and this place definitely met my needs.

We are a family of 5 and stayed in the master suite for 8 days over Christmas. We chose Casa Bocana for the location (quiet but a short drive to many attractions). Our two favorite things: the rooms (the suite is basically two connected rooms) and the restaurant. The rooms and bathrooms are large and very comfortable. There is a wonderful private balcony with a lounge area and kitchenette. Early in the morning lots of birds come to visit. You could easily stay there from sunrise to sunset. The third floor also has a great rooftop lounge perfect for sun salutations (bring your mat). The service could be a little better. The hotel and rooms are very clean but the front desk staff could be a little more on top of things. We were initially given a Wifi that kept on login us out and had a vey stingy quota. The second day we were given a normal wifi and had no more wifi problems after that. There were a few other mishaps. Nothing big.
The restaurant is amazing: incredible food, good presentation, great service. We tried a few other places in La Crucecita and nothing compares. (One small observation: department store Christmas carols don't match the food). The only other restaurant we would recommend is Aroma in Playa Chahue.

We did not like our one night stay at this place. The price was Mexican pesos 4175 per night (USD 250). For this price and given current ratings you would expect decent service.

Here is what happened in reality.

We arrived late at 22:30 and by midnight we discovered that all the water stopped running in the room altogether. So we could not take a shower or flush toilet. The water was absent till at least 3:00 am in the morning.

The second problem with the location is terrible cockerels' screaming, birds and dogs barking starting from 3:30 in the morning with deafening sounds that last through late morning and do not stop during the day. The reception refers vaguely to "local community" and offers ear plug, which we should have taken.

Nevermind cockerels. I understand that it is maybe a problem that the hotel cannot solve now.

After sleepless night without shower and running water we asked for a partial refund and were offered none. I think upscale hotels should automatically compensate guests for absence of running water. Were we asking too much ?

We paid the full price for one night and left instead of staying for two nights.

Beware.

Tucked in a very quiet part of town, this is a beautifully appointed establishment. We booked a suite with sea view which is about 50 meters from the hotel.
You can get a cab for 100 pesos to the next town where you find many different cuisines and at very reasonable prices.
The hotel staff is excellent and very kind.
The only negative is the construction across the street from us of a new hotel.
Restaurant only serves breakfast and lunch closed for dinners and Mondays all day

Our new favourite place..... no kidding! This beautiful place in an absolute hidden gem. Well away from the crowds, but with very easy access to all the attractions of the seven bays. With just a handful of well appointed and beautifully furnished rooms and some stunning shared spaces, including a restaurant, (open morning to night, serving from an extensive menu of phenomenal food), a rooftop patio with views of the beach, cosy sofas and swinging love-seat (instagram favourite for our two teenagers!) and a beautiful pool area with comfortable patio seating.
A truly exceptional option for those who are looking for the personal touch and an alternative to the all-inclusive set-up, steps away from a practically deserted beautiful swimming/surfing beach.
Thank you Stephan, Chef Ansony and all of the wonderful staff for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful jewel of a destination nestled in the quaint Playa da Bocana. If you seek to be in luxury away from the hotel zone. If you crave amazing food in a contemporary setting. If you just need a time and place to recharge…. Casa Bocana

A short walk to the beach where you can have fresh ceviche and watch while the pelicans and the local fishermen dive and cast for fish.

A small hike takes you to the ecological preservation with stunning views of the coastline and the Pacific. Ancient Mayan Temples

A 100p taxi takes you into La Crucieta for shopping and nightlife.

It was truly an oasis for all senses. Crafted with care.

We will be back to enjoy the hospitality.

Wonderful stay at Casa Bocana. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room and facilities were very nice. Comfortable bed. The room could have used a kettle and coffee maker. The pool was on the cold side, which was refreshing in the heat but you couldn't be in long. The restaurant was very good. The location was very peaceful; a calm neighbourhood with not much happening (the local beach is nice but not very swimmable, beach restaurants close at 5, and two massage places). You had to cab in/out of town all the time, but that wasn't a problem. Roosters in the morning so bring earplugs. Very much enjoyed the stay!

The hotel and rooms are beautiful, the restaurant is really good. Recommend the duck with mole (wonderful) and also the daily pasta specials. The value the hotel has to offer is its impecable service, all the staff is ready to help when needed and attend ones needs rapidly. Will definitely return!

We have a condo in the area so only use their restaurant. It is, by far, our favorite place to eat in Huatulco. The restaurant, situated in a peaceful quiet beach town, has an excellent cuisine-the meals are truly an experience. Phenomenal chef. They also have excellent, unique cocktails. There is just a great vibe to the place-low key music combined with the sound from their water feature not far from the restaurant. The waiting staff is definitely part of the vibe also; they are wonderful. The restaurant does a great job of creating an atmosphere that both young and older couples appear to enjoy. Again, you won't get a better eating experience in Huatulco-they are worth a cab ride.
