We were here recently for a funeral tea, and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The cakes were delicious, and the veggie sausage roll was excellent, I believe that the meat ones were as well, from the comments of the others there. Although, I haven't been here for an evening meal, I would be happy to return here to try it sometime.

We were with a large group of friends staying for three nights for a wedding. We were so well looked after by the excellent team. Lewis, the Restaurant Manager, was patient and friendly and kept our thirsts quenched. The breakfasts were superb - hot and very tasty - and enormous! Huge thanks to all the staff and good luck to Katya going off to Uni in Aberdeen any minute.

We used The Mill for four nights with 15 other couples for a wedding held at Gordon Castle. The young staff could not have been more welcoming, helpful, entertaining and accommodating. Breakfasts are EPIC and restaurant food delicious and all served promptly, hot, fresh and tasty. We spent two evenings in the bar and were looked after well. The staff are well trained and should well rewarded by the owner for their proficient up-selling skills. Impressive😆. Thank you to Angie, Katya, Lee and wee Lewis and to the lovely lass who looked after us on Monday morning breakfast. It was a pleasure from start to finish.

We stayed her for one evening with our dog and the staff couldn’t have been anymore welcoming and accommodating. Upon arrival we were taken on a tour of the hotel and then escorted to our room. Our dog even received an arrival gift of bowl, cover and toy which was an unexpected but lovely touch. The room in which we stayed was ideally located and shower facilities and bedroom was cleaned to a great standard and we could duly help ourselves to any tea/coffee/biscuit top ups as well as clean towels when required. The food in the restaurant was absolutely beautiful we had both lunch and dinner there. The pizza is to die for. All in all a lovely stay was had here and I would highly recommend a stay here.

Two couples booked for evening meal and when we arrived we were shown straight to our table. Drinks and main courses duly ordered and arrived pretty timeously. Food very good. Unfortunately we were ignored by all staff after our plates were cleared and waited for 30 mins before giving up and went to pay the bill. They were very busy and I suspect were under staffed. When asked if everything had been ok I advised them about no sweets being offered. "i'm sorry about that" was the reply and presented me with the bill. We then tried to pay with 2 meal vouchers only to be told that it was policy to only accept one voucher per meal which I found strange. When I suggested that we would then split the bill in 2 with the other couple and we would use a voucher each they then backtracked and said they would make an exception in this instance. A poor finish to what had been a pleasant evening and hopefully was a one off as the food we had was very nice as previously stated.
