The Red Eagle lodge is nestled in a perfect spot located on the Tok Cutoff. Greeted with such warm attributes that only one can smile. Stayed in the hunter's cabin for the night and it was magical. Very historic and rebuilt with a rustic taste! The Dennis family were super generous and invited us in their home to sit around...

Red Eagle Lodge is one of those rare establishments that lives up to its advertising. We were warmly greeted by the Dennis family, and given a tour of the expansive site. The bathhouse is a beautiful, clean building with showers and laundry facilities, and the site has several cabins, luxury tents and RV spots. We parked the Airstream near the...

Very fair prices, wonderful cute cabins, spotless bath house. These folks are super friendly! The grounds are beautiful. I wish I could give 6 points! Breakfast is included. We stayed in Timber Trail cabin. It is real Alaska.

What luck! We found this great place as we were traveling from Palmer, Alaska to Whitehorse. We stayed in one of the beautiful cabins. The owners definitely take pride in providing their guests with a great experience. **Love the new shower house!

We couldn't believe that this campground was not full. Nice campsites with picnic table. Dump and water available. But the best thing was the bath house. Very roomy and lanterns for lights. Richard, the owner, said he built it himself. Even had nice fluffy bath mats for when you got out of the shower. It felt like being in a...

The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly. The location was beautifu with the roomiest RV campgrounds fulhookup campgrounds I have ever seen. Even the bathroom/showers were roomy, clean and beautifully decorated. It was a truly relaxing location. We would have been better off spending the day at the camp rather than going on to Wrangle-St. Elias.l

Red Eagle Lodge is on our favorite list to return! The owners, Richard and Judy, are updating the original log cabins on the historic Chistochina Roadhouse site. Grandma's Cabin was clean, comfortable, and had a furnished kitchen/dining area. This cabin has it's own bathroom/shower. There are RV/tent sights available with a solar-heated bathhouse. We had an enjoyable morning conversation, after...

We stayed one night, the place really is in the middle of nowhere, the cabin we stayed in was very very small, no tv and no wifi. The cabin was heated by a small wood stove that had to be stoked around 2am, the bathroomhad no door and the bedcwas a doubble bed, it was somewhat clean

We stopped at the Red Eagle Lodge on a journey from Anchorage to Colorado. We have camped all over Alaska over the last three years and found Red Eagle Lodge to be one of the best. The owners, Richard and Judy, are extremely welcoming. The full hookup sites are very convenient but in a much more rustic, private setting than...

This is actually an RV/camping place. A friend of mine raved about this place the year before so I wanted to stay there s I peddled my across the state. The place is very clean with nice showers and owners who take an interest in you. They only serve breakfasts to the guests to send them on their way satisfied.

“Grandma's Cabin was wonderful but you cannot go wrong here. Just enjoy the experience and location. WiFi only works in the lodge but that is hardly a detractor.”

“The cabins are unique and fun. Just tell Judy what you need. I stayed in the Hermit's Roost which is small but wonderful in every way. Great woodstove, the interior is fresh and new and the bed is better than mine! I stayed for 4 nights and truly appreciated the rest and relaxation.”
