If you are looking for a hospitality experience, this is IT. Every single staff we interacted with made us feel welcomed. As what some other guests have mentioned, majority of the staff are not locals, but in my opinion a good service is a good service regardless if they are local or otherwise. The property of course is just beautiful....

For a 5-star resort, the services and hospitality are nowhere near what it claims to be. Most of the staffs including the waiters are foreign which is okay as long as they are properly trained for a 5-star service but unfortunately they appear to be not. Had been to all YTL resorts in Malaysia except for the one in Gaya...

The positives of this hotel for us were the restaurant, the lounge and the spa, all were excellent in terms of decor and service. However we did find it disappointing in part, although it pains us to say so as the staff, generally, were just lovely. Specifically, there is absolutely nowhere to sit outside, the hotel is beside a very...

Dear 2happycampers2, Thank you for sharing your recent experience during your visit at Cameron Highlands resort. It saddens me to know that you weren't able to have a wonderful time with us. I'm sure the pain of being stuck in traffic for hours before reaching your destination really takes a lot from the whole travelling experience. Thought your experience with...

The old world colonial feel with a golf course overlooking the balcony was quite charming. At the Jim Thompson Lounge we enjoyed a game of billiards to the notes of live piano music and the fine dining experience at the restaurant followed by a complimentary tea spa next morning crowned a delightful experience in this idyllic getaway!

It was a very unique and wonderful experience! We stayed 3 nights at this relaxing place. The service and staff was outstanding. The food was delicious. The spa heavenly. And the recommendation for day trips was well thought-out, the recommended taxi driver was a marvel. Do not miss the Gonbei and its excellent host! Many thanks to Emmanuel and Sherry!

The Cameron Highlands Resort is a small luxury hotel nestled adjacent to the hills of Caneron Highlands. Although the resort is addressed in Tanah Rata, it is actually much closer to the township of Brinchang than Tanah Rata. The old colonial structure, shuttered windows and french doors lent to its elegance and grandeur. We stayed at the resort during midweek...

We arrived at the Cameron Highlands Resort on a dull and murky afternoon in December, immediately noticing the drop in temperature from KL and Melaka. Our room was large, elegant and tastefully furnished and had a balcony overlooking the road outside and the golf course. Unfortunately the weather was too miserable to sit outdoors and the balcony doors remained shut...

This hotel is one of the better known ones in the Cameron Highlands and offers classical hotel hospitality in a good location. The rooms are spacious and decorated in a classical style. The main restaurant is good and provides both local and Malaysian cuisine whilst there is a separate restaurant doing interactive hot pot cooking. A car is really needed...

Staff is extremely nice and friendly. Rooms are large and luxurious. Rooms all are facing main roads which might be noisy at night. Food is decent but not great. Cameron Highlands is nice and weather cooler than elsewhere in Southeast Asia. Do watch out for the tourist traps in Lavender Garden and Butterfly Park.

The property is beautiful and beautifully placed with view over the golf course. The dinner was great at the dining room and rooms have nice old interior.. but the noise from the road and insolation of the walls made our stay pretty unpleasant. We slept for just few hours each night. With crazy neighbours and a traffic who will not...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set amidst tea plantations and rolling hills, this boutique hideaway promises all the splendour, romance and nostalgia of Cameron Highlands’ grand colonial heritage.Tall French doors, timber-beamed ceilings and plantation shutters add colonial charm and a touch of nostalgia to our rooms.Enjoy a refreshing round of golf, a pink-cheeked ramble along jungle trails, or a leisurely walk through tea plantations and strawberry farms. To recover, you can have a cup of tea in the drawing room, or a tea bath at the Spa Village, or you may simply choose to spend the day curled up with a good book by the fireplace.Cameron Highlands Resort is situated on the largest hill retreat in Malaysia, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, lush greenery, rolling hills and Tudor-styled cottages. The luxurious boutique Resort features 56 beautifully-appointed rooms and suites, and fronts Cameron Highlands' 18-hole golf course. It also houses the third wellness centre of the award-winning Spa Village group, which offers exotic treatments focusing on the healing and restorative properties of tea. Located in the state of Pahang, approximately 200 kilometres north of Kuala Lumpur, Cameron Highlands is a beautiful holiday destination and the only place where you can find tea plantations and strawberries in Malaysia. At about 1,500 metres above sea level, it is the highest area on the mainland and enjoys a cool climate and fresh air, with temperatures ranging between 15° and 25° Celsius. Much of the character of the highlands remains unchanged since colonial times. It is endearingly known to some as the 'little corner of England in Asia'. The cool climate on the picturesque plateau and its surrounding hills and forest make this a popular retreat for golfing, jungle trekking and exploration of the many plantations and gardens. Cameron Highlands Resort is ideal all year round for families, honeymooners and holidaymakers out to satiate their appetites for trails, tales and tradition. ... more   less
