Would be good for large group. Moonlight bungalow has 8 rooms, some are family rooms that can sleep 4 in two king size beds, and some are smaller. Total pax in Moonlight bungalow is 24 pax. No cooking facilities. Rooms are clean, attached bathroom with...More
We stayed in the family room. Nothing to shout about. 2 king beds with an attached toilet and shower. Room is very clean and beds are soft with 2 hard spongy pillows. If you are not staying in the 2 cottages that is available, then...More
This review is for the Starlight Rooms as I stayed there. In general, the room is clean and basic, absolutely nothing to shout about. Unfortunately, you wont feel anything "related" to the history of Jim Thompson at all, but instead, you'll feel like you're in...More
The hotel is quite confusing as it is obviously using several "names". The hotel itself is very simple, the rooms are a bit oldish, but we did like it.

The frustration with the Jim Thompson Cottages is that there are no on-site catering facilities (or even self catering) - for that you need to drive down the hill to the town for each and every meal. You will need a car for this - it is too far to walk for your breakfast. So this rather destroys the "long family breakfast/dinner" scene for the holidays and is the real weakness of this as a place to stay.
The Trip Advisor system cannot let me add an address - but if you search google using "Jim Thompson Cottage" you should reach h--p://220.127.116.11:4570/ this is the Jim Thompson main site. This will tell you how many beds you get in each cottage.
Best of luck for the holidays
