We stay in Anakiwa 401 bbh, which was our best stay so far for the whole trip agreed by 4 of us due to the warm welcome by the host Shayne and Tanya and we feel really comfortable and at home. The BBH was surrounded by untouched nature where by the entrance to the marlborough sound or to be more...

You'll be so pleased to be one of Tanya & Shayne's guests. They really make you feel at home. I felt as if I was lucky to be staying at a great auntie's beach bach! That's partly because there are just 3 rooms in the old restored bungalow, plus a self-catering cabin, so different from a huge impersonal backbackers. This...

Just finishing the Queen Charlotte’s track we were welcomed by bubbly Tanya in the Green Caravan. She is very friendly and helpful. The place is warm and you can feel the time and effort the couple put into restoring the accommodation. They transformed it into a lovely place to relax and enjoy. The kitchen is well equipped; there are also...

Anakiwa 401 was one of the best places we stayed at during our 4 week vacation in New Zealand! Tanya and Shayne are wonderful! We had so much fun, relaxing, kayaking on the Malborough Sound, walking on the Queen Charlotte Track right next to the hostel and drinking cappuchino in the little caravan café! the Hostel is very clean, nice...

Very comfortable house in a beautiful setting, at the beginning of the Queen Charlotte track. Feels quite exclusive, with a small number of relatively inexpensive double/twin rooms. Shayne and Tanya were very welcoming, and helpful to make my stay enjoyable. Lots of facilities such as bikes and kayaks available. They have solved the problem of no nearby shops by providing...

I stayed two nights in October 2014 and should have made it longer. The Queen Charlotte Track starts grounds at the front door and the views while walking it through old forest down to the crystal waters of the Sounds are amazing. The grounds are beautiful and meticulously kept, the rooms warm and so is the shared space that really...
